EXCITING NEW BOOK TRILOGY ABOUT TED BUNDY BY KEVIN M SULLIVAN

True Crime fans everywhere are in for some serious reading!  I was scrolling through Facebook the other night and saw an ad for THE BUNDY SECRETS by Kevin M.Sullivan. Haven't read anything new about Ted in a very long time. Found the publisher online and emailed them that I wanted to review TBS. Then I found out that Kevin had 2 previous books about Ted as well!

Kevin was seriously into researching Ted's life and crimes.  I wanted to interview him to learn more about what motivates this author.  I get "into" topics and ideas and can become somewhat obsessive. Ask my friends and readers!

Kevin called me and we talked for hours! We have so much in common. He is from the South, I spent a lot of time working down there. He is well versed in the Vietnam War and my Dad was killed in action over there in 1971. And of course we talked about Ted and Michigan Coed Killer John Norman Collins. Fascinating phone call. My friend said Kevin and I each had pieces of the other one's puzzle! How true! Kevin is brilliant and very dedicated to his art.. By all means True Crime fans buy these books! I have the book icons and Kindle/ebook links below!

Author Kevin M. Sullivan

A writer of history and true crime, Kevin M. Sullivan is the author of twelve books, a former investigative journalist for both print and online media, and is a recognized authority on serial sex killer, Ted Bundy. Indeed, his "break out" book, The Bundy Murders: A Comprehensive History, published by McFarland in 2009, was the catalyst that brought him much attention in the true crime world, leading to appearances on numerous radio programs and contacts from documentarians both here in the United States and the United Kingdom.

Portions of his biography of Ted Bundy also appear in the college textbook, Abnormal Psychology: Clinical Perspectives on Psychological Disorders, published by McGraw-Hill in November 2012.

His second work on the killer, The Trail of Ted Bundy: Digging Up the Untold Stories, contains a lot of new and previously unpublished information about Ted Bundy and this most infamous case, as well as new interviews from those who knew Bundy and called him a friend.

And now, with the publication of The Bundy Secrets: Hidden Files of America's Worst Serial Killer, readers will get a rarely-seen look at the actual case files, many in their entirety.

Revealing, raw, and unedited, they allow you to peer into the world of the investigators as they hunted a diabolical killer of women and young girls. With the publication of this latest work , Sullivan's trilogy of the life and murders of Ted Bundy is now complete.

THE BUNDY MURDERS: A Comprehensive History

Theodore Bundy was one of the more infamous, and flamboyant, American serial killers on record, and his story is a complex mix of psychopathology, criminal investigation, and the U.S. legal system. This in-depth examination of Bundy's life and his killing spree that totaled dozens of victims is drawn from legal transcripts, correspondence and interviews with detectives and prosecutors. Using these sources, new information on several murders is unveiled. The biography follows Bundy from his broken family background to his execution in the electric chair.

The Trail of Ted Bundy: Digging Up The Untold Stories EBOOK

The Trail of Ted Bundy: Digging Up the Untold Stories, is a journey back in time, to a world when Ted Bundy was killing young women and girls in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. It’s told by those who knew him, and you’ll hear their revealing stories; many of them coming to light for the first time. The friends of the victims are here as well, and they share their insights about the victims, as well as their own personal loss, and some of what they reveal in this book was originally withheld from the investigators during those years, such was their commitment to their deceased friends.

THE BUNDY SECRETS: Hidden Files On America's Worst Serial Killer  EBOOK

Raw, unedited, and revealing – the actual case files of the Ted Bundy murders-presented for the first time in book-form, with commentary and never-before-published testimonies from those who knew the killer, were stalked by him, or were friends of his victims…

AMERICAN MASTERS: MAYA ANGELOU AND STILL I RISE

When I first encountered the works of Maya Angelou, it was 1980.  Mainstream entertainment didn't present her work. I was enthralled with her autobiographies and wanted to talk about them with someone. No one I knew ever heard of Ms Angelou.

She was not on TV or in movies I could find. Finally 2 years later my Mother called to tell me Maya was on PBS! I ran and turned on my VCR and taped her...I was transfixed by her voice and language.. I very highly recommend this documentary and by all means read her books... She is one of my biggest American heroes of all time.. rip..

About the Film

Premiere date: February 21, 2017

Distinctly referred to as “a redwood tree, with deep roots in American culture,” Dr. Maya Angelou (April 4, 1928-May 28, 2014) led a prolific life. The first feature documentary about her life, American Masters – Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise, premieres nationwide Tuesday, February 21 at 8 p.m. on PBS (check local listings) during Black History Month as part of the 31st season of THIRTEEN’s American Masters series. COEN BROTHERS DIRECT NEW COMMERICIAL FOR SUPER BOWL 2017

CREATIVITY ONLINE: Mercedes' Super Bowl ad has the makings of a baby boomer fantasy: It includes Peter Fonda, Steppenwolf's "Born to Be Wild" and references to the 1969 classic flick "Easy Rider." But advertising aficionados might be more interested in the ad's directing credits: Joel and Ethan Coen.

The Coen brothers -- whose film credits include "No Country for Old Men," "Fargo" and "The Big Lebowski" -- have never directed a Super Bowl spot until now, according to Mercedes.
The ad, called "Easy Driver," puts a modern twist on "Easy Rider" by portraying a group of aging bikers at a bar.

After a clumsy fight -- aching bones and all -- the men are told their bikes parked out front are "blocked in." They step outside to find that the man blocking them in is Mr. Fonda, who starred in "Easy Rider." He's not riding a bike. Instead he's in a Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster.

Riding on the open road with Steppenwolf's "Born to be Wild" playing in your head. How do you make this experience any better? Hint: The legendary Peter Fonda might have an idea. Watch Peter Fonda come back for one more epic ride – this time with The Coen Brothers.

Directed by Joel and Ethan Coen
Music: "Born to be Wild" by Steppenwolf

WOODSTOCK: A TURNING POINT IN WORLD CULTURE & MUSIC

Woodstock: A Turning Point in the World Culture and MusicWoodstock Music & Art Fair was the last hurrah of the hip movement.A triumph of counter-culture, it rocked on, and the ripples of it are still felt to this day. For a live event that went on for only three days (or rather four, due to complications), it left a lasting impact on pop culture and people’s perception of live events.

Where was Woodstock? Woodstock festival didn’t actually take place in Woodstock, surprise-surprise! The site of the original festival was in White Lake, New York. As you can imagine, this small commune received worldwide fame for being ground zero.

What was it all about?
It was about giving a middle finger to the establishment, man! It was a festival in name, but an experience in nature.

Before Woodstock came around, rock concerts and festivals have only gathered audiences of up to 50 thousand people. By some rough estimates, nearly half-a-million people were in attendance. People from all walks of life were there, even exemplary students had changed their mantra from https://eduzaurus.com/type-my-essay” to “Pass the weed, man.”

Surprisingly, there was no entry fee. Everyone could come and enjoy some psychedelic tunes free of charge.

Tickets and Complications
A rumor suggests that ticket booths were not in place before the concert. That left organizers in a precarious spot and they had to drop the idea of paid admissions to the venue.

There were a lot of problems with organization and planning too. The event itself was bound for failure since it was full of mishaps and miscalculations: constant delays, equipment failures, catering disruptions, mobile toilets malfunctioning, and the weather constantly being a nuisance.

This entire thing was the perfect storm of disasters, and it was glorious.

Bands
It was about rocking out, dudes!

The Woodstock lineup included headlining juggernauts like Jimi Hendrix, Grateful Dead, The Who, Janis Joplin and Creedence Clearwater Revival. The entire roster, on the whole, was also very impressive.

Plenty more were asked to perform, but they either declined, or there were difficulties with communication. A lot of famous groups never showed up on stage: Frank Zappa and his band never graced the crowd with their blend of experimental rock and The Moody Blues never performed their heartfelt ballads.

Live Coverage
A limited number of reporters were actually permitted to the area. And those who were emphasized heavily on the poor organization and lack of amenities.

The coverage slightly changed its tune and became more positive near the tail-end of the fest. Partly due to many people complaining about misleading reports.

Legacy
There were a few festival revivals in the form of anniversary tours and concerts – in 1979, 1989, 1994, 1999 and the ill-fated 2009 attempt.

The original‘69 event spawned a number of three-day copycats like Coachella Valley Music and Art Festival, Bonnaroo Music Festival, Lollapalooza and a few student-friendly alternatives.

Woodstock also became the subject of a three-hour Oscar-winning documentary released in 1970 with the same title.

It was an organizational phenomenon in a time of carefree indulgence. Woodstock signified an end of an era. It’s great that Coachella is here to pick up the slack. At least now, in a slightly different way, we may experience what Woodstock may have felt like back then.

WOODY HARRELSON FILM TO PREMIERE AT MICHIGAN THEATER ANN ARBOR!

Woody Harrelson plays an aging loner curmudgeon in a comedy based on a graphic novel by Daniel Clowes, the creator of 'Ghost World.' There are laughs, but the hipster factor is wearing thin.

The film will have its Midwest Premiere in Ann Arbor as part of an exclusive arrangement with Fox Searchlight

Ann Arbor, Mich – Cinetopia Film Festival is proud to continue the tradition of bringing an exclusive Sundance Film Festival premiere to the Michigan Theater with the Woody Harrelson comedy WILSON on Friday, February 3 at 8:00 PM.

In Wilson, based on the Daniel Clowes’ (Ghost World, Art School Confidential) graphic novel of the same name, Harrelson plays a lonely, neurotic and hilariously honest middle-aged, misanthropic dog lover who reunites with his estranged wife (Laura Dern) and gets a shot at happiness when he learns he has a teenage daughter he has never met. In his uniquely outrageous and slightly twisted way, Wilson sets out to connect with her in what could be his last chance at having a family. Wilson is directed by Craig Johnson (winner of the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival) and adapted for the screen by Clowes himself.

Cinetopia Film Festival Presents Direct from Sundance is an offshoot of the Sundance Film Festival USA program, which premiered brand-new Sundance films at only nine theaters nationwide. The Michigan Theater remains one of the only theaters in the country to continue this program independently. Previous exclusive engagements have included Infinitely Polar Bear, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, The East, The Lobster, and Cyrus.
