JUSTICE LEAGUE 2017 NEW TRAILER!

I hope this new DC action film is better than the Superman v Batman movie. I couldn't watch it...The new Wonder Woman looks very cool also Aquaman played by Jason Momoa as Aquaman. Jason was bad ass as Kal Drogo in Game of Thrones Season 1.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy.

Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes-Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash-it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

MOTOWN 25:YESTERDAY-TODAY-FOREVER MARCH 25 1983

Highest moment was Michael Jackson's solo perfomance

The landmark television special Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever was filmed before a rapturous live audience on March 25, 1983, the Motown 25 special is perhaps best remembered for Michael Jackson’s performance of “Billie Jean,” which brought the house down and introduced much of the world to the “moonwalk.”

There were other great performances that night, too, but there were also moments that revealed cracks in the joyous-reunion image that Motown chief Berry Gordy sought to portray.

The most glaring breakdown in decorum came during what could have been the evening’s greatest triumph: the reunion of Diana Ross and the Supremes. When Ross, Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong performed together that night for the first time in 13 years, they took to the stage with something closer to 20 years’ worth of unresolved resentment among them.

Early in their performance of “Someday We’ll Be Together,” as Diana slowly moved upstage, Mary and Cindy had the audacity to keep stride alongside her. Diana turned around and angrily pushed Mary back—a move that was carefully edited out of the later broadcast but which prompted Smokey Robinson and others to take the stage and form an impromptu chorus/demilitarized zone between the warring Supremes.

HEARING IS BELIEVING, the new non-fiction feature from award-winning filmmaker Lorenzo DeStefano, introduces the world to the astonishing young musician and composer, Rachel Flowers.

Born 15 weeks premature, Rachel soon lost her eyesight. At two she began playing every song she heard by ear, including Bach fugues. Starting her musical education at the age of 4, it was soon clear that the child had perfect pitch.

DeStefano and his team have created a dynamic and engaging portrait of two years in the life of a tight- knit American family, a single mom and her two kids, living paycheck to paycheck in Oxnard, California, with Rachel's stunning music as the soundtrack. The film revels in Rachel's joyous and free-flowing love of song, illuminating the bonds of family and the divine mysteries of creativity.

Among the great musicians appearing with Rachel in the film are Grammy winners Dweezil Zappa, Arturo Sandoval, and Stevie Wonder, Grammy nominated jazz pianist Taylor Eigsti, the late Progressive Rock icon Keith Emerson, Hawaii ukulele legend Benny Chong, and 50 members of the Santa Barbara Youth Symphony.

Rachel is the recipient of many awards, distinctions, and scholarships, including a Stanford University Jazz Residency, Los Angeles Music Center Spotlight Awards, winner of the Ventura County Student Jazz competition, and private instruction in advanced improvisation through the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz.

Rachel has performed for Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, Clark Terry, Herbie Hancock, Herb Alpert, and Wayne Shorter. She is a very active part of several jazz lineups in California and is currently composing original songs and works for orchestra, jazz combo, piano, and voice.

HEARING IS BELIEVING is produced & directed by Lorenzo DeStefano. Executive producer is Patti Channer. Co-producers are Randell J. Brasher, Sandra Laby, Jordan Laby, and Mary Karrh. Editing by Kevin D. Wilson. Cinematography by David Pu'u and Nik Blaskovich. Music by Rachel Flowers.

Nicky Wire has also contributed handwritten lyrics and imagery from his personal archive. "Send Away The Tigers was a very important record for us, it gave us a new lease of life and helped us to rediscover our love of the band. This edition helps to tell the whole story. Through demos, home recordings and hand-written lyrics you find intimate details of a band about to reinvent themselves.” Manic Street Preachers

Prior to this, Sky Arts will be screening a documentary on 15th April of ‘Escape From History’ made by Manics collaborator BAFTA award winning director Kieran Evans. The film describes the period after guitarist Richey Edwards went missing and follows the band as they record and release their landmark fourth album ‘everything must go’.

Through the eyes of the band and close associates the film reveals the internal dynamics and creative relationships within Manic Street Preachers.

James Dean Bradfield has also composed the soundtrack to a new independent film released on 10th March. ‘The Chamber’ is a claustrophobic survival thriller, set below the Yellow Sea and described as a “new sound from Bradfield and adds to the dark and atmospheric mood of the film”. The album is released on Sony Classics on the same day as the film.

The band has also announced several dates for later this summer, see below:

ELTON JOHN’S 70TH BIRTHDAY GALA EVENT MARCH 25 2017 IN LOS ANGELES

ELTON JOHN’S 70TH BIRTHDAY AND HIS 50-YEAR SONGWRITING PARTNERSHIP WITH BERNIE TAUPIN WILL BE CELEBRATED TOMORROW, MARCH 25, 2017, AT A GALA EVENT IN LOS ANGELES

ROB LOWE WILL SERVE AS HOST

LADY GAGA AND OTHER SURPRISE GUESTS WILL PERFORM AT THE EVENT

THE CELEBRATION WILL BENEFIT THE ELTON JOHN AIDS FOUNDATION AND THE UCLA HAMMER MUSEUM

LOS ANGELES, March 24, 2017 – Tomorrow, March 25, a gala fundraising event celebrating Elton John’s 70th birthday and his 50-year writing partnership with Bernie Taupin will benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) and the Hammer Museum at UCLA. Held at Red Studios in Los Angeles, the evening will be hosted by Rob Lowe and will feature a gala dinner and special musical performances by Lady Gaga and other surprise guests.

In keeping with Elton's commitment to philanthropy, he is eager to leverage the celebration of his 70th birthday and his amazing songwriting collaboration with Bernie Taupin in order to support two worthy causes that are the driving passions of his life: ending the global HIV/AIDS epidemic, and art in all its many forms.

To that end, this event will raise urgently needed money to help fund the grant-making initiatives of the Elton John AIDS Foundation and exhibitions and programs presented by the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles.

This very special evening will honor the many strands of an unrivalled career and life that still continue to enrich, enthrall, and inspire. Elton John is a true musical and cultural iconoclast, with a record that speaks for itself.

Lady GaGa and Elton John

He has achieved worldwide sales of over 250 million records and has 58 Billboard Top 40 singles in the United States. He has written the music for the stage and screen successes Billy Elliot: The Musical, Elton John & Tim Rice's Aida, and Disney's cinematic and theatrical sensation The Lion King. A tireless live performer, Elton has played more than 3,500 concerts in over 80 countries. He has collected 12 Ivor Novello Awards, six GRAMMYS®, two Brits, an Oscar®, and a Tony.

He has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and The Songwriters Hall of Fame, and has received a knighthood from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1998.

He is a tireless charitable campaigner and philanthropist, notoriously outspoken for the causes he believes in. Elton John is an undisputed pop culture legend. His knowledge and championing of new music has helped many new artists achieve recognition and success. He is constantly moving forward, never resting on his laurels, never becoming complacent, predictable, or dull.

Of his career with Bernie Taupin, Elton simply says, "It's the same excitement now as when we first started. That this year marks the 50th anniversary of my partnership with Bernie Taupin is mind boggling for me because it seems like only yesterday that I met him. It's an amazing achievement to stay with one person for 50 years on a creative basis, in an industry where that doesn't really happen very much."

On reaching his 70th year, Elton notes, "I'm interested in moving forward all the time, with what I create, my collaborations, and also with discovering the work of other people. I think age is immaterial, provided we keep our minds alive by being open to new things. I can be as excited by a new artist who plays me their demo as I am by a new record of one of my musical heroes.

I can be excited by playing a new city I've never played before, or revisiting somewhere I know well and seeing how it's changed. Life is a constant state of flux for us all, and I like to embrace that. I also feel very happy to use my position to bring attention to injustice in the world, and to try to help where I can. At this time in my life I'm the happiest I have ever been."

Bernie Taupin says of Elton, "It's been an unconventional partnership and while we pretty much patented the two-rooms technique I'd venture to say you'd be hard pressed to find a couple of songwriters more in sync with each other and their craft".

CHICK COREA RELEASES NEW 3 DISC SET & FILM: THE MUSICIAN

Chick Corea first laid eyes on New York’s Greenwich Village in 1959, fresh from high school, with a head full of music that only he could have imagined. With this new release The Musician, recorded in the epicenter of Chick’s original NYC haunts and more than 50 years later, Corea finally brings all that music together at once.

The new live 3-CD and Blu-ray set captures Corea’s 70th birthday celebration at the famed Blue Note Jazz Club in 2011, where he assembled a staggering lineup of musical friends and fellow-travelers – among them Herbie Hancock, Bobby McFerrin, Wynton Marsalis, John McLaughlin and Stanley Clarke – for a month-long residency featuring 10 different bands, including triumphal sets by his own Chick Corea Elektric Band and Return to Forever.

All of it is captured brilliantly in the first feature-length documentary on Corea’s life, music and genius musical partners. The film takes you inside the heads and “hangs” of some of the greatest artists of our time – backstage and personal – and the CDs capture almost four hours of live recordings of every band.

The deluxe hardcover edition, including the film on Blu-ray, in addition to the 3 CDs, an essay by Robin D. G. Kelley and exclusive photos, will be available from Concord Jazz on April 21, 2017, as well as a 3-CD edition. A 3-LP edition on 180-gram vinyl is planned for June 2.

The CDs capture the music with Corea’s characteristic thrilling live sound, and the documentary goes even further: with total access to Chick’s creative process, the film features live footage, but also rehearsals, backstage hangs and candid interviews with the musicians.

Everything that goes into making music at this level – the hours of practice, rehearsals, gear moving in and out – is in full view.

The Musician shows Corea welcoming his 70th year with friends and thousands of fans. Now, five years later, he shows no sign of slowing down. He continues to look forward to more tours, more gigs, and more sessions.

Looking back on the month-long celebration that is now remembered on The Musician, Corea calls it motivation “to keep on experimenting and researching and putting new bands together and playing music. It’s that simple.”

Robert Alan Krieger, born January 8, 1946, in Los Angeles, is a musical performer and The Doors guitarist. He attended UCLA. “The first music I heard that I liked was Peter and the Wolf. I accidentally sat and broke the record (I was about seven). Then I listened to rock ‘n’ roll – I listened to the radio a lot – Fats Domino, Elvis, The Platters.

“There was lots of classical music in my house. My father liked march music. There was a piano at home. I studied trumpet at ten, but nothing came of it. Then I started playing blues on the piano? no lessons though. When I was fifteen, I started playing guitar. I used my friend’s guitar. I didn’t get my own until I was sixteen. It was a Mexican flamenco guitar. I took flamenco lessons for a few months. I switched around from folk to flamenco to blues to rock ‘n’ roll.

“Records got me into the blues. Some of the newer rock ‘n’ roll, such as the Paul Butterfield Blues Band. If it hadn’t been for Butterfield going electric, I probably wouldn’t have gone rock ‘n’ roll.

I didn’t plan on rock ‘n’ roll. I wanted to learn jazz; I got to know some people doing rock ‘n’ roll with jazz, and I thought I could make money playing music. In rock ‘n’ roll you can realize anything that you can in jazz or anything. There’s no limitation other than the beat. You have more freedom than you do in anything except jazz.

“In The Doors we have both musicians and poets, and both know of each other’s art, so we can effect a synthesis. In the case of Tim Buckley or Dylan you have one man’s ideas. Most groups today aren’t groups. In a true group all the members create the arrangements among themselves.”

HOW TO BENEFIT FROM TUITION ASSIGNMENTS

Looking for a tutor? If so, Singapore Tuition is a great place to start. If you have never had a tutor before you may not understand the important of tuition assignments. The fact of the matter is tutors have been helping students young and old for hundreds of years. They are specialized “teachers” who have one on one meetings with students to help them learn more about a particular subject.

They are well respected and it takes a lot to get to the level of tutor in most scenarios. You need to have a lot of extensive knowledge about a topic, and be able to relay the information to others in a way that is both productive and encouraging.

Most people who have never had a tutor before do not understand why the tuition assignments are so important. You might be surprised to know that there are a lot of great reasons that you should pay close attention to these assignments if you want to succeed. Here are some factors to keep in mind the next time you are considering whether or not you could benefit from a tutor.

Reinforce Old Ideas

If you are already pretty knowledgeable about the topic you are learning about, your tutor is going to be aware of this fact. The way that they will help you with these topics is by giving you assignments that will reinforce the knowledge that you already have.

This factor can be beneficial because sometimes knowledge does slip away from us, even though we would never like to admit it. One of the ways you can keep learning and growing is by reinforcing old ideas until they are something that you can speak about without racking your brain

Reinforcement of ideas is perhaps one of the greatest things that tuition assignments can help you with. However, it is important to note that there are many other ways these assignments can help you.

Learn New Information

You will be able to learn new information based on the plans given to you by your tutor. They will be able to work with you and help you expand your knowledge in a way that makes sense to you. Everyone learns differently, and that is perfectly acceptable. It is the job of the tutor to go in, figure out how you learn best, and come up with a plan that will help you learn the information that you need to know, even if it is brand new information.

They can also work with you to help develop a course of action. A course of action is essentially a time frame for a lesson. A great example would be if you wanted to learn the history of the 1800s. You guys can sit down together and work on how quickly you want to learn this information and a realistic time frame can then be established.

Embrace New Learning Styles

There are many different ways that people learn. We are used to the way we learn, and the way that other people learn tends to be ignored by us. The great thing about tutors is that they can use their assignments to help expand the way that you learn.

You will be able to embrace new learning styles and this could help you down the road whether you are finishing high school, in college, or getting ready to move on to a career.

Regardless of how old you are, it is important to recognize that there are a ton of different learning styles out there that can unlock hidden potential. Tutors are able to go in and draw this information from you and help you better your life.

THE STAYNERS: THE YOSEMITE KILLER AND MY FIRST NAME IS STEVEN BROTHERS

http://murderpedia.org/male.S/s/stayner-cary-photos.htm
 Cary Stayner

One of the weirdest crime cases in US history in my opinion is the family connection between the The Yosemite Park Killer aka Cary Stayner and his younger brother Kidnap victim Steven Stayner. This family was doomed to say the least....Older Brother jealous of the attention his younger brother received morphs into a cowardly serial killer of women visiting Yosemite Park....

http://murderpedia.org/male.S/s/stayner-cary-photos.htmCary Hugs his Mother at Steven's Homecoming

Cary's younger brother Steven's abduction by a child molester in 1972 and his celebrated return seven years later haunted Cary. Steven was a hero and Cary a psychopath.

Cary Stayner was born and raised in Merced, California. His younger brother, Steven ( I Know My First Name is Steven), was kidnapped by child molester Kenneth Parnell in 1972, when Cary was 11, and held captive for more than seven years before escaping and being reunited with his family.

Steven Stayner's Release from Captivity

Cary Stayner would later say that he felt neglected while his parents grieved over the loss of Steven.

When Steven escaped from Parnell and returned home in 1980, he received massive media attention; a true crime book and TV movie, both titled I Know My First Name is Steven, were made about the ordeal.

I Know My First Name Is Steven (Tvm)

Steven died in a motorcycle accident in 1989. The following year, Stayner's uncle Jesse, with whom he was living at the time, was murdered. Cary Stayner would also later claim that his uncle molested him when he was 11.  Steven's Child Molester/ Kidnapper died in Prison in 2008

http://murderpedia.org/male.S/s/stayner-cary-photos.htm

In 1997, Stayner was hired as a handyman at the Cedar Lodge motel in El Portal, just outside the Highway 140 Arch Rock entrance to Yosemite National Park.

Between February and July 1999, he murdered two women and two teenagers: Carole Sund; her daughter, 15-year-old Juli Sund; their travel companion, 16-year-old Argentine exchange student Silvina Pelosso; and Yosemite Institute employee Joie Ruth Armstrong, 26, a naturalist.

 Stayner's Victims

The first two victims, Carole Sund and Silvina Pelosso, were found in the trunk of the charred remains of Carole's Pontiac rental car. The bodies were burned beyond recognition and were identified using dental records.

A note was sent to police with a hand-drawn map indicating the location of the third victim, Juli Sund. The top of the note read, "We had fun with this one." Investigators went to the location depicted on the map and found the remains of Juli, whose throat had been cut.

Stayner pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. His lawyers claimed that the Stayner family had a history of sexual abuse and mental illness, manifesting itself not only in the murders, but also his obsessive-compulsive disorder, and request to be provided with child pornography in return for his confession. Dr. Jose Arturo Silva testified that Stayner had mild autism, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and paraphilia.

Stayner was nevertheless found sane and convicted of four counts of first degree murder by a jury in 2001 and sentenced to Death. His is currently on Death Row at San Quentin. READ MORE

ROCK LEGEND CHUCK BERRY HIRED RETRO KIMMER AS SECURITY IN 1975

(Obituary Here) Chuck Berry, the singer, songwriter and guitar great who practically defined rock music with his impeccably twangy hits “Maybellene,” “Roll Over Beethoven,” “Memphis,” “My Ding-a-Ling” and “Sweet Little Sixteen,” has died. He was 90.

Tonight a reader wrote me and asked if I had a personal Chuck Berry encounter...indeed I have a really great story about meeting him....Thanks Jerry.

In 1975 I was 19 and just back in Michigan from Florida. Chuck was playing in Ypsilanti, MI and I did not have a ticket. Some friends agreed to open a side door and I would sneak into the theater once it was dark. So I was standing by the door waiting when a big red Cadillac pulls into the parking lot and parks. Out pops Chuck Berry with his guitar case and in stage clothes!

He comes up the stairs and orders me to knock on the door! So I did. The door opens and security was going to let him in and not me. Chuck told the guard that I was his security person! So I got in. He told me to take him to the office. He demanded his payment from the stage manager and got it in cash! Next we went back stage and he set the case across a chair and snapped it open.

He counted the money, 6,000.00 and took the guitar out and put the money inside. He snapped it shut and told me to not leave that case. Lucky me!! I got to see the entire show with 2 encores from the wings! After, he came offstage and handed me a 100.00 bill, put his guitar back in the case and split. Lovely night and the best concert I ever witnessed and I witnessed so many greats of the day but none were better than Chuck. Hail Hail, Chuck Berry! Rip. xK
