Worth noting is Robin Seymour's affection for The Rationals. Not only were they the most frequently booked local group on his Swing Time show, which contributed greatly to their popularity and record sales in Detroit, they were the most adored by their fans! Great memories!!!
yeah, i used to rush home from Hampton elementary school in Detroit so's I could check and see if the Rationals or maybe even Mitch Ryder would be on Swingin' Time. learned some really cool dance steps that way too. cheers, -ig

ReplyDeleteWe went to "Swing Time" every time they played it.We couldn't wait for Friday & Saturday night's to come, so we could go see The Rationals play.
