I had never even heard of Lorraine Ellison. I knew Janis' version was a cover. Discovered that Terry Reid's "Stay With Me, Baby"was first done by Ellison. I saw Big Mama Thornton in the 80's. She wore a hat and leather jacket and looked like she could kick the ass of anyone in the club. As Dr. John would say "Gris gris and no gumbo yaya"...
