HUMANS SEASON 2: GET READY FOR THE PREMIERE FEB 13 ON AMC

Humans is one of the most well written and acted television series I have had the pleasure of streaming. Lots of my favorite British actors and also featuring American's superb actor William Hurt.

The series, written by Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley (Spooks, Spooks: The Greater Good), is set in a parallel present and explores what happens when the lines between humans and machines are blurred. The eight-episode second season picks up several months after the events of Season 1, with Niska (Emily Berrington) still at large and in possession of the consciousness code. Her synth family, Mia (Gemma Chan), Leo (Colin Morgan of MERLIN), and Max (Ivanno Jeremiah), unaware of her location, are each trying to find their place in the world while Joe (Tom Goodman-Hill) and Laura (Katherine Parkinson) attempt to mend their marriage.

As unconfirmed reports surface of Synths behaving inexplicably, the ripple effects of one simple yet seismic decision sees the past return dramatically and surprisingly to the door of the Hawkins house. Joe, Laura, and the entire family are faced with a difficult choice that will put the family under an intense spotlight. As an emerging form of intelligent life – the Synths – and an established one – humanity – fight for their places in the world, a thrilling multi-stranded narrative evolves which continues to ask: Who has the right to determine what it means to be alive?

HUMANS, which will return on Monday, Feb. 13th at 10/9c.

KIMMER'S TOP 10 FAVORITE TV SHOWS OF 2015

My VERY favorite show of this year is FARGO Season 2. Perhaps the most compelling tv series I have ever seen! The acting is fabulous, the writing is so great and the camera work is mind blowing... Watch the Trailer HERE

I had never seen Game of Thrones and my daughter suggested I try that series. I watched one episode and then totally addicted, spent the entire week glued to 5 years of GOT. There just aren't enough adjectives to describe this epic tv series. Watch the Trailer HERE 5 ☆☆☆☆☆

Being a giant Breaking Bad fan made this an easy transition. Ethically challenged attorney, Saul Goodman is a great character and this first season was very good......took me a bit to get into it but it finished very well. Looking forward to Feb. 2016 for season 2. Watch the Trailer HERE

House of Cards Season 3 watch good, not as good as the first 2 but any show with Kevin Spacey is gift.....Watch the Trailer HERE

What a surprise! This show was fantastically poignant and hysterically funny as well. The entire cast should get Emmys.... Netflix signed them for 2 more seasons...Watch the Trailer HERE

Mad Men and Jon Hamm...all good things must end I suppose...This retro advertising show was magnificent in every way...Jon Hamm finally won and Emmy and the show is over....Watch the Trailer HERE

Another series my daughter recommended..Women in prison dramedy..can be scary, can be funny, can make you cry...perfect entertainment!  Watch the Trailer HERE

Humans is a British series about normal families owning Androids. Basically this is a drama about a family who own a renegade "synth", the doctor who helped create synths, and the police tracking them all... compelling and smart show...Watch the Trailer HERE

Rectify is another excellent ensemble cast..The story is about a man sent to death row by mistake is finally released.  How the towns folk and his family deal with his presumed guilt is the premise...excellent show. Watch the Trailer HERE

The first season was fantastic, the second one is not as good but still the cast is good. I love the young people and the music.....Watch the Trailer HERE

HUMANS FINALE SUNDAY AUG 16 ON AMC

HUMANS, a bold new eight-part drama series from AMC, Channel 4 and Kudos, is set in a parallel present where the latest must-have gadget for any busy family is a 'Synth' - a highly-developed robotic servant eerily similar to its live counterpart.

Written by British writing partnership Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley (Spooks, Spooks: The Greater Good), HUMANS is based on the award-winning Swedish sci-fi drama Real Humans.

"A lot of different types of jobs are automated now," says co-writer Sam Vincent. "Everything is automated with a kiosk now and there’s no guy at the counter. There's a real explosion of that happening and we wanted to reflect those social and economic trends...If we had something like the Synths we have on our show, that effect would be magnified a hundredfold, and that was quite interesting. We're really going quite deep into how society would change."

HUMANS, which stars William Hurt, Katherine Parkinson, Tom Goodman-Hill, Colin Morgan, Rebecca Front, Neil Maskell, and Gemma Chan, will return for a second season.

HUMANS ON AMC IS MY SUMMER TV OBSESSION!

Yes!!! Humans is a FANTASTIC television experience...I just adore this show and can't stop raving about it to all my friends! Check out the trailer below...

AMC today announced that the critically acclaimed drama series HUMANS has been renewed for a second season. The series will return for eight new episodes, with production starting next year.

Co-produced by AMC and Channel 4 with Kudos, the makers of Utopia and Broadchurch, the first season tapped into society’s preoccupation with and mistrust of advancing technology and artificial intelligence.

What does it mean to be human? Can the very traits through which we define humanity (love, trust, loyalty, friendship, sacrifice) be taught? What really is family? Exploring humans’ inherent fear of the unknown and the possible implications of granting machines consciousness, the final episodes will leave viewers on a thrilling cliff-hanger.

“We’re so pleased to announce a second season of HUMANS and extend our terrific partnership with Channel 4, Kudos and the stellar cast, crew and writers Sam and Jonathan,” said Joel Stillerman, president of original programming and development for AMC and Sundance TV. “As one of the year’s top new cable series, HUMANS has been embraced by fans and critics across the U.S. and UK. We’re looking forward to continuing this very captivating story and further exploring the show’s parallel, Synth-filled world that hits so disturbingly close to home.”

Penned by British writing partners Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley (Spooks, Spooks: The Greater Good) and based on the award-winning Swedish sci-fi drama Real Humans from Matador Films, the series stands as a top five cable drama launch among adults 25-54 in the U.S. this season. The first episode was Channel 4’s highest rated originated drama in 20 years. Read More
