STEVE JOBS DEBUTS THE IPHONE JAN 9 2007


On this day in 2007, Apple Inc. CEO Steve Jobs unveils the iPhone—a touchscreen mobile phone with an iPod, camera and Web-browsing capabilities, among other features—at the Macworld convention in San Francisco.

Jobs, dressed in his customary jeans and black mock turtleneck, called the iPhone a “revolutionary and magical product that is literally five years ahead of any other mobile phone.”

When it went on sale in the United States six months later, on June 29, amidst huge hype, thousands of customers lined up at Apple stores across the country to be among the first to purchase an iPhone. Read More

HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY IPHONE! THE PHONE THAT ROCKED THE WORLD


10 years ago, it couldn't send photos, had no flash and couldn't record videos. And you could only get it on AT&T. The iPhone has certainly come a long way.

REMEMBERING THE AMAZING STEVE JOBS TODAY


Remembering Steve Jobs today....The impact of this man is unmeasurable and there are not enough adjectives to describe him...I just know that I miss the new ideas he would had and his unstoppable mind....RIP Steve...

October 5, 2011, Steve Jobs, the visionary co-founder of Apple Inc., which revolutionized the computer, music and mobile communications industries with such devices as the Macintosh, iPod, iPhone and iPad, died at age 56 of complications from pancreatic cancer.


Steven Paul Jobs was an American businessman. He was best known as the co-founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Apple Inc.; CEO and largest shareholder of Pixar Animation Studios, a member of The Walt Disney Company's board of directors following its acquisition of Pixar; and founder, chairman, and CEO of NeXT Inc.

Born on February 24, 1955, in San Francisco, California, to unmarried graduate students Joanne Schieble and Abdulfattah Jandali, a Syrian immigrant, Jobs was adopted as a baby by Paul Jobs, a Silicon Valley machinist, and his wife Clara. After graduating from high school in Cupertino, California, in 1972, Jobs attended Reed College, a liberal arts school in Portland, Oregon, for a single semester before dropping out. He later worked briefly for pioneering video game maker Atari in California, traveled to India and studied Zen Buddhism. FULL BIO HERE
