Model Kate Moss is a new contributing fashion editor for Vogue UK. She chose Niagara Detroit as her first tribute in her collection "cause célèbre". Niagara invented it...so it is an ever so appropriate choice for Kate to choose Niagara....
KATE MOSS’ NEW GIG:
Kate Moss will make her debut as British Vogue’s newest contributing fashion editor this week, when the March issue of the title hits newsstands. Moss has styled model Daria Werbowy in a shoot called “Cause Célèbre,” which takes its cues from the look of the Seventies Detroit band Destroy All Monsters, whose front woman was the photogenic Niagara.
The first image from the shoot, which was lensed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, sees a punkish model, Daria Werbowy, posing in the driving seat of a convertible, wearing a studded minidress, fishnet tights and red streaks in her hair. Lovely effort....
Calling Niagara "photogenic" is like calling an AK47 a pop gun...We don't believe there is anyone who can emulate Niagara in photography, in painting, in poetry, in imagination or copy her "you disinterest me" attitude...
Niagara is a fashionista of a most
rebellious nature..She has loved Vogue Magazine forever and we do agree that Niagara's tribute is way past due, but...the model is lacking the top alcohol fueled punk attitude of the one and only Niagara Detroit....
