LIFE AND DEATH OF BRIAN JONES FILM/SOUNDTRACK OUT ON DVD JUNE 12!

Dudeski/Chip Baker Films is proud to announce the official release date of their latest project "Rolling Stone Life and Death of Brian Jones", a Danny Garcia film. It is the first documentary about the founder and original leader of The Rolling Stones.

The film has just wrapped up a run of successful screenings across the USA, Europe, and South America after a highly celebrated December world premiere in London at the Regent Street Cinema.

The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack album will be a limited edition run of 1000 copies only and will be pressed on red vinyl. The tracklisting for the soundtrack album is listed below.

In the mid-1960s, Brian Jones emerged as “the face” and poster boy of the Bohemian Swingin’ London scene, topping the charts with The Rolling Stones and dating model/actress Anita Pallenberg.

However, his excessive lifestyle and his reputation as “the original bad boy of Rock & Roll” was to cost him dearly. As the scene descended into the acid ridden year of 1967 so did Brian. Targeted by the authorities and media, he spiraled out of control, losing both Anita and the respect of the Stones.

Two years later, Brian was found at the bottom of his swimming pool, the verdict: death by misadventure.

During the last 50 years, many theories have emerged, claiming that Brian was murdered and that it was covered up at a high level, as this film discovers – the evidence for this is extremely compelling.

"Rolling Stone Life and Death of Brian Jones" adds to the list of respected music documentaries Danny Garcia has produced and directed.

The film is scheduled to be released June 12th, 2020 on DVD by MVD Entertainment Group and will be available thru the following streaming services:

KIMMER'S FAVORITE BINGE WATCH TV SERIES OF THE WEEK

My Mom sent me all 4 seasona on DVD of SOAP! I binge watched them all weekend. Laughed myself sick! This show from 1977-1981 really stands up in the 21st century..Here is more info on this funny show. I tried to pick a favorite character, but hey are all so good...but to me the funniest one is Bob the Dummy...see the video below.

Soap (wiki) is an American sitcom that originally ran on ABC from 1977 into 1981. The show was created as a night-time parody of daytime soap operas, presented as a weekly half-hour prime time comedy.

Similar to a soap opera, the show's story was presented in a serial format and included melodramatic plot elements such as alien abduction, demonic possession, murder, and kidnapping. In 2007 it was listed as one of Time magazine's "100 Best TV Shows of All-TIME," and in 2010, the Tates and the Campbells ranked at number 17 in TV Guide's list of "TV's Top Families".

The show was created, written, and executively produced by Susan Harris, and also executively produced by Paul Junger Witt (Harris' future husband) and Tony Thomas.

Each returning season was preceded by a 90-minute retrospective of the previous season. Two of these retrospectives were made available on VHS in 1994, but were not included on any DVD collections.

The show aired 85 episodes over the course of four seasons. Eight of these (including the final four) aired as one-hour episodes during the original run on ABC.

These hour-long episodes were later split in two, yielding 93 half-hour episodes for syndication. Like most sitcoms of the era, Soap was videotaped, but this coincidentally helped further its emulation of the daytime soap opera format, as most such productions were also videotaped.

All episodes are currently available on region 1 DVD in four separate box sets. There is a box set of season 1 on region 2 DVD. In the past, the series has rerun on local syndicated channels as well as on cable on Comedy Central and TV Land. It ran on over-the-air television on Antenna TV, until December 30, 2012.

The cast included three former soap opera actors. Robert Mandan (Chester Tate) had previously appeared on Search for Tomorrow as a leading man for Mary Stuart, and Donnelly Rhodes (Dutch Leitner) had played the first husband of Katherine Chancellor on The Young and the Restless. Arthur Peterson, Jr. ("The Major") played Rev. John Ruthledge in the radio version of Guiding Light.

MAIN CAST:

Rod Roddy ...Announcer (84 episodes, 1977-1981)
Katherine Helmond ...Jessica Tate (82 episodes, 1977-1981)
Richard Mulligan ...Burt Campbell (82 episodes, 1977-1981)
Cathryn Damon ...Mary Campbell (80 episodes, 1977-1981)

Billy Crystal ...Jodie Dallas (73 episodes, 1977-1981)
Robert Mandan ...Chester Tate (73 episodes, 1977-1981)

GUITARIST STEVE HUNTER HAS A NEW CD/DVD TONE POEMS LIVE!

World-Renowned Guitar Player Steve Hunter Releases Live CD & DVD 'Tone Poems Live'

“Steve is a wonderful musician with great chops and a big heart.” - Peter Gabriel

Los Angeles, CA - For the first time ever, Blues Rock Guitarist Steve Hunter, renowned for his work with Peter Gabriel, Lou Reed and Alice Cooper, is captured on film playing a career-spanning anthology in an intimate setting with some of the worlds finest players.

Also featuring Tony Levin, Phil Aaberg and Alvino Bennett!

The DVD, titled 'Tone Poems Live', was filmed on August 24th 2013 at a recording studio in LA. Alongside Steve was Tony Levin on Bass (Peter Gabriel, King Crimson) Phil Aaberg on Keyboards (Elvin Bishop, Peter Gabriel) Alvino Bennett on Drums (Dave Mason, Robin Trower).

They rehearsed for two days and filmed on the third day as though it were in front of an audience. Fourteen tunes, each played twice, with no overdubs added later. The material was chosen from most of Steve’s solo albums plus a few covers, including ‘Solsbury Hill’ ‘What’s Going On’ and Stevie Ray Vaughan’s ‘Riviera Paradise’.

“The soulful notes that Steve Hunter plays have the perfect balance of fat warm tone, taste and personality” - Steve Vai

This is the first time Steve Hunter has ever been filmed doing his own material plus material of his own choice. Steve is now legally blind and although not out of the question, touring has become more of a challenge. The recording session was produced and recorded by Brian Brinkerhoff and Paul Lani.

Tony Levin: “Steve is one of those wonderful musicians who speaks from the heart”

Phil Aaberg: “There’s something about the subtlety, the texture and the tone quality that he gets with an individual note, to me that’s a great guitar player”

Alvino Bennett: “I’m hearing all three Kings; Albert, BB and Freddy”

Jason Becker: “I can't put into words how much your soul comes out of your fingers. Everyone should see and hear this DVD”!

MOTOWN MAFIA DVD AND BOOK ARE RIVETING!

Motown Mafia directed by Al "Profit" Bradley

From 1969 to 1975, Eddie Jackson and Courtney Brown ran one of the largest heroin rings in the United States. "Motown Mafia" is the story of two families and how they rose from Detroit's neighborhoods to the top of the city's narcotics pyramid.

Eddie Jackson ruled his empire with strategy more than violence, despite having to ply his trade in America' murder capital - Detroit. "Motown Mafia" is not just the story of the families, but the story of Detroit itself. From the nightlife of Paradise Valley to the intricacies of the heroin trade at its highest level, "Motown Mafia" is a must have piece of Detroit history.

Eddie Jackson and Courtney Brown were savvy business men. They ran their major drug empire with clear heads and somewhat "ethical" business practices. The thuggery that moved into the city after their incarceration aka Young Boys Inc. changed the crime scene in Detroit forever..

Spoke with Courtney Brown Jr. the other day as he was busy working in one of his many businesses. He described his childhood as a cross between the "Cosbys" and "The Sopranos". He went to good schools, they lived in a lovely neighborhood near Smokey Robinson and other Detroit Stars. He thought it was a "normal" thing that Dad would come home with duffels full of cash to count....

I really enjoyed watching the DVD. I worked in Detroit in the 1980s and was on the perimeter of the crime scene while running a huge retail convention show.

The business behind crime is fascinating to me. The movie takes you into Detroit and gives you a front row seat to the "action"...

Also! Courtney Jr. has a companion book which I loved! Can't get enough! I think HBO needs to make a TV Series about the Motown Mafia!!
