LIFE AND DEATH OF BRIAN JONES FILM/SOUNDTRACK OUT ON DVD JUNE 12!

Dudeski/Chip Baker Films is proud to announce the official release date of their latest project "Rolling Stone Life and Death of Brian Jones", a Danny Garcia film. It is the first documentary about the founder and original leader of The Rolling Stones.

The film has just wrapped up a run of successful screenings across the USA, Europe, and South America after a highly celebrated December world premiere in London at the Regent Street Cinema.

The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack album will be a limited edition run of 1000 copies only and will be pressed on red vinyl. The tracklisting for the soundtrack album is listed below.

In the mid-1960s, Brian Jones emerged as “the face” and poster boy of the Bohemian Swingin’ London scene, topping the charts with The Rolling Stones and dating model/actress Anita Pallenberg.

However, his excessive lifestyle and his reputation as “the original bad boy of Rock & Roll” was to cost him dearly. As the scene descended into the acid ridden year of 1967 so did Brian. Targeted by the authorities and media, he spiraled out of control, losing both Anita and the respect of the Stones.

Two years later, Brian was found at the bottom of his swimming pool, the verdict: death by misadventure.

During the last 50 years, many theories have emerged, claiming that Brian was murdered and that it was covered up at a high level, as this film discovers – the evidence for this is extremely compelling.

"Rolling Stone Life and Death of Brian Jones" adds to the list of respected music documentaries Danny Garcia has produced and directed.

The film is scheduled to be released June 12th, 2020 on DVD by MVD Entertainment Group and will be available thru the following streaming services:

ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK DUETS FOR "JUDY" FILM STARRING RENE ZELLWEGER

NEW YORK, NY  Decca and Republic Records announce the release of two star-studded duets, to appear on the brand-new album 'JUDY'. The Original Soundtrack which coincides with the release of the highly-anticipated feature film in which Renée Zellweger stars as ‘Judy’, is set for release globally on 27th September 2019. The film is based on the true story of Judy Garland’s final concerts in London in the late 1960s.

Academy Award winner Renée Zellweger is joined by Sam Smith for a totally unique version of one of Garland's best-loved numbers, 'Get Happy', and teams up with Rufus Wainwright for a beautiful rendition of 'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas' – both newly-recorded especially for the album/cd.

Long-time Judy Garland fan and fellow Academy Award winner, Sam Smith, said:

“When I was 17 years old I did a project on Judy Garland for my Film Studies A-Level. I was immediately immersed into the magic of Judy and her incredibly brave and triumphant story. She has remained as one of the icons of my life. She was one of the bravest humans out there and her vulnerability and honesty in her art still gives me goose bumps like it did the first time. It was truly an honour to sing with Renée. Nobody could have played Judy as well as Renée, and it is a career highlight for me to be singing with her, and in some small way, with Judy. I hope everyone loves the film as much as I did.”

Rufus Wainwright, whose live album 'Rufus Does Judy at Carnegie Hall' received critical acclaim and earned him a Grammy Award nomination, said:

“Judy Garland has been a constant force in my life. ‘The Wizard of Oz’ was one of the pyramids of culture that I gazed at as a small child. It’s nice to come back and observe her again in the film and through this wonderful duet with Renee, her performance is astounding in a film that focuses on the love and the generosity that Judy always had for the world around her. It reminds me of how unique her life and art were."
Zellweger brings her utterly distinctive vocals to both tracks, and her phenomenal musical performance shines throughout the album.

‘JUDY’ the album features Renée Zellweger’s breath-taking recordings of Judy Garland’s award-winning and most popular numbers, which have become some of the most iconic songs in film and theatre history, including ‎‘For Once in My Life’, ‘Come Rain or Come Shine’ and ‘Over the Rainbow’, all perfectly capturing the moving intensity of Garland’s electrifying performances.

CARY ELWES AND JAKE BUSEY JOIN STRANGER THINGS SEASON 3 CAST!

Cary Elwes, Jake Busey Join 'Stranger Things' Cast for Season 3

Actors Cary Elwes and Jake Busey will join the “Stranger Things” cast in the show’s third season, Netflix announced Wednesday.

Elwes, known for “The Princess Bride,” will play a character named Mayor Kline, while Busey, from “Starship Troopers,” will play Bruce.

Mayor Kline is being described by Netflix promotional materials as “handsome, slick, and sleazy.” “Your classic ’80s politician – more concerned with his own image than with the people of the small town he governs.” The Bruce character played by Busey is “a journalist for the The Hawkins Post, with questionable morals and a sick sense of humor.”

Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos made the new casting announcement at Netflix’s See What’s Next event in Rome, where the streaming giant announced a slew of new productions from Europe and elsewhere around the world.

The kids from Hawkins are not alone. Brenner's other subjects are starting to discover their true powers and must all come together to take down the dangerous Mind Flayer in the Upside Down.

Starring Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Winona Ryder (Joyce), Noah Schnapp (Will), David Harbour (Chief Hopper), Natalia Dyer (Nancy), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan), Joe Kerry (Steve), Dacre Montgomery (Billy), Sadie Sink (Max) & Matthew Modine (Dr. Brenner)

*NEW* DAVID BOWIE AND TREVOR JONES’ ICONIC LABYRINTH SOUNDTRACK RELEASE

Los Angeles – April 26, 2017 – Extending the 30th anniversary celebration of the beloved film, Labyrinth, Jim Henson’s mesmerizing and enduring fantasy classic, David Bowie and Trevor Jones’ iconic soundtrack will be remastered and reissued on vinyl on May 12 for the first time since its original 1986 release.

Long out of print, the album, which was remastered at Capitol Studios, will be available on high quality 120gm black vinyl and include the faithfully replicated original jacket and artwork, including the original EMI America logo and the printed inner sleeve featuring photos of Bowie from the film. Pre-Order below:

Praised by film critics and moviegoers alike for its astonishing imagery and distinct characters, Labyrinth has been celebrated for being wildly ahead of its time. Directed by Jim Henson and executive produced by George Lucas, the film, which stars David Bowie as Jareth, The Goblin King, is full of memorable creatures brought to life by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop™, working closely with acclaimed artist and conceptual designer Brian Froud.

In a 1986 interview with Movieline, Bowie recalled his first meeting with Henson to discuss the film: "Jim Henson set up a meeting with me while I was doing my 1983 tour in the States, and he outlined the basic concept for Labyrinth and showed me some of Brian Froud's artwork. I'd always wanted to be involved in the music-writing aspect of a movie that would appeal to children of all ages, as well as everyone else, and I must say that Jim gave me a completely free hand with it. The script itself was terribly amusing without being vicious or spiteful or bloody, and it also had a lot more heart than many other special effects movies. So I was pretty well hooked from the beginning.”

Described by The Atlantic as “101 minutes of Bowie rock opera and Hensonian spectacle,” Labyrinth was the second major soundtrack that Bowie worked on, falling between his 16th and 17th studio albums, Tonight and Never Let Me Down. He wrote and recorded five original songs for the film, including "Underground,” “As The World Falls Down” and “Magic Dance” with its famous oft-repeated opening: “You remind me of the babe/What babe?

The babe with the power/What power? The power of voodoo/Who do? You do/Do what? Remind me of the babe.” All songs were performed by Bowie except “Chilly Down” which was sung by Charles Augins, Richard Bodkin, Kevin Clash, and Danny John-Jules, the actors who voiced the ‘Firey' creatures in the film.

In the aforementioned interview with Movieline around the film and soundtrack’s release, Bowie revealed an obstacle he encountered while recording. “With ‘Dance Magic’ - the song for Jareth and the baby, sung by them and the goblins in the castle throne room - I had problems,” Bowie explained. “The baby I used in the recording studios couldn’t, or wouldn’t, put more than two gurgles together, so I ended up doing the baby-gurgle chorus myself! It’s an up-tempo song, and visually exciting.”

The 12-track soundtrack is rounded out with Trevor Jones’ memorable score. The synth-based instrumentals, described by All Music Guide as “synthesizers blended cautiously into orchestral ensembles to provide a suitably ethereal tone,” represent pivotal moments from the film and include “Into the Labyrinth,” “Sarah” “Hallucination,” “The Goblin Battle,” “Thirteen O'Clock” and “Home at Last.” Jones and Henson previously worked together on the live action fantasy classic, “The Dark Crystal.”

Labyrinth celebrated its 30th anniversary last year and the film and soundtrack have only grown in popularity since its release on June 27, 1986. Last year, a newly restored 4K version of the movie was released back in theaters with a limited engagement theatrical run in the United States giving fans the opportunity to see it back on the big screen.

On September 20th, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment released the film on Blu-ray, next-generation 4K Ultra HD™, and as a multi-format 30th Anniversary Collector’s Edition complete with unique “mirrorbox” packaging that included a mini replica of the film’s climactic and iconic final scene. All versions include a host of all-new bonus content and a gorgeous 24-page Digibook filled with rare photos and a look behind the scenes.
