BACKSTREET BOYS DNA WORLD TOUR COMING TO DETROIT AND MORE DATES!
Following the success of last summer’s sold-out North American tour, the Backstreet Boys are excited to announce a second North American tour, kicking off July 10th in New York.
Produced by Live Nation, the extensive 45-date, the three-month trek will see the group performing their impressive catalog of award-winning hits in arenas and amphitheaters all over the U.S. and Canada before an incredible finale at the famous Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA.
Tickets to these shows are the perfect Valentine’s Day gift, going on sale to the general public beginning this Friday February 14th at LiveNation.com.
The forthcoming run is the second North American leg on their tour, which has become one of the group’s biggest arena tours in 18 years, thanks to the global success of their #1 and GRAMMY-nominated new album “DNA.”
The DNA World Tour has already visited five continents and the group’s fans across the globe have made this outing extremely special.
“We give our fans 100%, night after night, putting on the best Backstreet Boys show we can. We play our hits, we dance our asses off and we do it because we love our fans,” says AJ McLean. “We have the best fans in the world. They come out to party and they sing at the top of their lungs and we feed off that energy. We can’t wait to take this show on the road again this summer.”
The DNA World Tour picks back up later this month when the group heads to Mexico, South America, Australia, and New Zealand.

AUSTRALIAN HARD ROCK BAND ROSE TATTOO UNLEASH NEW LP OUTLAWS!
Australian Hard Rock Legends Rose Tattoo Unleash “Outlaws” Album March 6, 2020!
Rose Tattoo are extraordinarily proud to announce the release of “Outlaws”, the album, on March 6. A re-recording of the famed first and iconic “Rock N Roll Outlaw”, spawning classics like “Nice Boys” (Don’t Play Rock ‘n’ Roll), “Rock N’ Roll Outlaw”, “One Of The Boys” and, “Bad Boy For Love” these songs have etched their way into the music landscape over the last 40+ years. The magik with a ‘k’ is that they’ve included three bonus tracks from the very early days, songs that were demoed and never made the final cut, being a ‘love song’ “Rosetta” written back in 1975 by Anderson and Rilens, “Snow Queen” and “Sweet Love Rock and Roll” penned by Ian Rilens.
Loveable rogue, Angry Anderson recruited the best in the business to head up the assault on this one comprising legendary bass player, Mark Evans of AC/DC fame, iconic guitarist Bob Spencer – Finch, Skyhooks, The Angels, and, Pete Well’s endorsed, “unbelievably talented maestro of rock mayhem”, Dai Pritchard on slide. Keeping the drum stool warm on this outing is ‘Genghis’, the keeper of time, Jackie Barnes.
“For me, that’s critically important, cosmically important, because this album is all about history, heritage, honor, and respect. Just as significant is the forging, the embracing, and the official signing on if you like, to that history by THIS band and having them make their own reverent mark. This really is about honoring the past and respecting the present.” – Angry Anderson
“Rock N’ Roll Outlaw”, was originally recorded at the famed Alberts studios, produced by the legendary team, Vanda & Young and, released through Albert, Repertoire Records in late 1978. The band's debut album reviewed as “A dangerous, unpredictable, monster of a record whose power has hardly diminished an ounce in the decades since this album cemented the band’s foundation for the years to come.”
“The universe owes a deep unpayable debt to this band’s founders Peter Wells and Ian Rilen as well as Mick Cocks, Dallas ‘Digger’ Royal, Geordie Leach, Rockin’ Robin Riley, and Lobby Loyde. Paul DeMarco, Dai Pritchard, and Steve King have of course honorably kept the temple flame burning brightly more recently, but the album also rightfully acknowledges the foresight and support of Ted Albert, Fifa Riccobono, George Young and Harry Vanda who saw something in this band back when most other record companies were calling the cops.” – Angry Anderson
“Outlaws” will be released by Cleopatra Records on all digital platforms as well as on CD and a special limited edition vinyl pressing in your choice of RED or SILVER!

Julia Michaels has transformed the pop music landscape not only from behind-the-scenes as one of the most in-demand songwriters, but in the spotlight as a solo artist as well.

MOTT THE HOOPLE NEW WORLD TOUR!!
Mott The Hoople Class of ‘74
with support from Tax The Heat
Mott The Hoople have announced a UK tour for April 2019. With a set based around the 1974 albums The Hoople and Live, plus the non-album greatest hits, ladies and gentle-men, please welcome the “Golden Age Of Rock ’n’ Roll”, as Ian Hunter, Ariel Bender and Morgan Fisher, regroup once more for seven shows across the UK.
From 1969 to 1973, Mott The Hoople were a two-headed beast, with songwriting duties split between Ian Hunter and Mick Ralphs, as well as the odd notable exception from Verden Allen. By the end of 1973, Mick and Verden had both left the band to see what else was out there for them. This left Ian Hunter as the sole songwriter, with the notable exception of Overend Watts fan favorite, ‘Born Late ’58’.
With Hunter now given free reign, 1974’s “The Hoople” explored ideas and concepts that are now widely credited as having influenced everyone from the punk movement to Queen, with the latter supporting the band and cited by Brian May as the only band that Queen ever supported. 1974 was also arguably Mott’s most intensely creative period with the studio album, four hit singles – ‘Roll Away The Stone’, ‘The Golden Age Of Rock ’n’ Roll’, ‘Foxy Foxy’ and ‘Saturday Gigs’ - plus a live album, half of which was taken from their week long stint at the Uris Theatre, Broadway.
The live album highlighted the talents of Mick and Verden’s replacements - Ariel Bender and Morgan Fisher respectively, who breathed new life into classics and crowd favorites alike, ‘All The Young Dudes’, ‘All The Way From Memphis’, ‘Honaloochie Boogie’, ‘Rose’, ‘Rest In Peace’ and ‘Walking With A Mountain’ forming the core of the live al-bum.
In 2009 and 2013, the 1969 / 1973 line up completed two highly successful reunion tours. At the time, many fans asked whether it would ever be possible to see the “Class Of ’74” - Ian Hunter, Ariel Bender and Morgan Fisher - back together again.
As it would have been impossible to try and replace Mott’s rhythm section, Overend Watts and Dale “Buffin” Griffin, who are both now sadly deceased and with Mick Ralphs having suffered health issues which would preclude him appearing, the time seemed right to try something a little different.
In 2018, the trio of Hunter, Bender and Fisher, augmented by Ian’s long-term backing band, The Rant Band, played three festivals, their first live shows since 2013. It’s fair to say that the festival performances took people by surprise, the band showing a renewed energy and spirit and the press claiming their songs to be “the soundtrack to a genera-tion” and still sounding “as fresh as they did back in the day” , whilst describing Ian Hunter as “the epitome of rock and roll cool, and one of the great singer-songwriters of our time.” (National Rock Review, 2018)
Tickets for Mott The Hoople’s shows go on sale Friday 16 November at 10am.

FLEETWOOD MAC TOUR STOPS IN DETROIT OCT 30 - LITTLE CAESARS ARENA
Fleetwood Mac is celebrating half a century of music with a new tour and a new 50-song collection – ‘50 Years – Don’t Stop’. Featuring hits and essentials from every studio album, ’50 Years – Don’t Stop’ is the first exploration of the full history of the band on one album. Available November 16 on 3CD, 5LP,1CD and digital and streaming platforms.
Fleetwood Mac was founded by Peter Green in 1967 and was named after Mick Fleetwood and John McVie. After Peter Green left in 1969, Fleetwood and McVie remained as original members, and the band has since featured a cast of brilliant talents.
Most notably, Christine McVie joined the band in 1970, with Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham joining in 1974. The enduring spirit of Fleetwood Mac stands for an incredible body of great music that has connected with generations of people all over the world for more than 50 years. Fleetwood Mac has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and the GRAMMY-award winning band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
Former Fleetwood Mac lead guitarist and singer Lindsey Buckingham filed a lawsuit against his bandmates after he was fired from their tour, Us Weekly confirms.
Buckingham, 69, claims in court documents filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court and obtained by Us that his manager informed him in January that the rock band “would proceed with its upcoming and already organized 2018 to 2019 concert tour without him.” He further alleges that “not a single member of the band” called him to share the news despite 43 years of friendship. KANDACE SPRINGS RELEASES GORGEOUS NEW SINGLE "6 8"
Kandace Springs has released “6 8,” a sublime remake of Gabriel Garzón-Montano's gorgeous ballad that is molasses slow and crystalline pretty. Kandace’s sensual vocals and chiming piano intertwine with Elena Pinderhughes’ ethereal flute and float above Burniss Travis II’s bass and Karriem Riggins’ drums. Watch the video for “6 8” here.
The song follows the single “Don’t Need The Real Thing,” both of which appear on Kandace’s remarkable second album Indigo, a 13-track LP of originals and choice covers that will be released September 7 on Blue Note Records. The album showcases the full breadth of Kandace’s artistry with songs that swirl classical composition with quiet-storm cool, jazz poise with hip-hop swing, tropical warmth with soulful depth, and earthen groove with airy psych.
All but two tracks are produced by Riggins (Common, Erykah Badu) with additional production by Jamie Hartman (Rag'n'Bone Man), Jimmy Hogarth (Amy Winehouse, Corinne Bailey Rae), Jimmy Harry (Madonna, P!nk), and Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken (Rihanna).
Given the diverse palette, Karriem was exactly the right person to work with Kandace to catalyze the best parts of various interests into something new. “I love crossing genres and the direction on Indigo was to marry all the different things to tell her story,” says Karriem, who tracked his drums at various studios while on the road with Diana Krall, and chopped and reassembled his and Kandace's recordings into what you hear. “It sounds organic because everything was built around the songwriting. She says so much on the piano, and her voice is amazing—it's the focal point of the whole sound.”
Kandace will embark on a U.S. headline tour beginning September 28 that includes album release shows in Los Angeles (Troubadour, October 1), New York (Sony Hall, October 28), and a hometown Nashville show (City Winery, November 4), followed by performances in Europe and Asia. DAVE DAVIES: LEGENDARY GUITARIST OF THE KINKS ANNOUNCES NEW LP DECADE
Founding member of The Kinks, Dave Davies has announced the upcoming release of Decade, a new collection of unreleased songs recorded in the 1970's. Davies has also shared the lead track from the record, "Cradle To The Grave," which was recorded in 1973. Decade will be released on October 12th via Red River Entertainment and Green Amp Records, and Davies will be on tour in early 2019.
Listen: Dave Davies - "Cradle To The Grave"
In what may be considered the sequel to 2011’s Hidden Treasures, which chronicled Davies' solo recordings from the 1960's, Decade pulls back the curtain on the legendary guitarist and songwriter's unreleased works spanning 1971 to 1979.
Davies writes, "I am so pleased that after all this time these tracks are being released to see the light of day. These songs have been silently nagging at me to be recognised all these years. At last I can proudly present this album Decade to the world. I do hope you all enjoy the music."
Decade is currently available for pre-order.
Years prior to the issue of his first “proper” solo album, 1980’s AFL1-3603, Davies was working on the fascinating tracks that make up Decade. The tapes were unearthed by his sons Simon and Martin from “under beds, in attics, in storage,” and properly mixed and mastered in a way that lets these songs shimmer and shine even brighter than they did at inception.
Any album recorded over the span of 10 years runs the risk of ending up wildly erratic in tone and style, and yet, Dave’s Decade is surprisingly cohesive, the songs working together beautifully as songs on great albums do.
The period 1973 to 1975 saw The Kinks make the move into their own recording studio, Konk, which Davies took a major role in setting up and developing. “I’m always really into the sound, and the mixes, and gadgets..." writes Davies. "I was able to go in, and make what I thought were demos—these recordings."
Listening to the contemporary, FM radio-friendly quality of these songs, it’s hard to fathom that these solo tracks remained under wraps, particularly as these were born in the aftermath of clear Dave Davies triumphs such as “Strangers” and “You Don’t Know My Name,” change-of-pace songs that added considerable value to the early ‘70s Kinks albums they appeared on.
Photo: Steve Hockstein
But with brother Ray deep into the creation of a series of high-concept albums on which Dave’s songs had no apparent place, these Dave Davies gems remained unissued on both the solo and band fronts. Davies explains, "We were busy, and we were touring,
The Kinks were very vibrant that whole period of time. It wasn’t really until the end of the ‘70s that I started to really take my writing seriously. I should have done it anyway—because what’s ‘serious’ and ‘not serious’? Just get stuff out, you know?” In 1978, a song contemporaneous with these sessions, “Trust Your Heart”, was chosen to appear on The Kinks’ Misfits album, and Davies became very active as a solo artist at last, with a series of well-regarded albums in the 1980s and beyond.
A long-time inductee of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame, Dave Davies helped shape the landscape of rock and pop music across generations. A seasoned yet spontaneous rock-n-roll visionary, Davies was named one of Rolling Stone Magazine’s 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.
Dave has released several critical acclaimed albums on Red River Entertainment including his most recent album Open Road, a collaborative project with his son Russ, released in March 2017 and acclaimed by Rolling Stone, Consequence of Sound, Paste, Spin, The Washington Post, and many more.
