ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK TO END WITH SEASON 7

VARIETY
We will miss our pals on OITNB but it is time IMHO. The girls need to be set free and end their punishment...Still, we will miss them...

Orange Is the New Black” is set to end after its upcoming seventh season on Netflix. The cast of the series broke the news in a video post on Wednesday, which can be viewed below.

Netflix had renewed the Lionsgate-produced series for three seasons ahead of the Season 4 premiere in 2016. As part of the deal, series showrunner Jenji Kohan will remain in that role through Season 7. The critically-acclaimed dramedy initially followed the inmates of Litchfield Minimum Security Prison, with Season 6 seeing many of the main cast move to the Maximum Security facility often mentioned in the series.

“After seven seasons, it’s time to be released from prison,” Kohan said. “I will miss all the badass ladies of Litchfield and the incredible crew we’ve worked with. My heart is orange but fade to black.”

Uzo Aduba

The series stars Taylor Schilling, Uzo Aduba, Kate Mulgrew, Laura Prepon, Laverne Cox, Dascha Polanco, Danielle Brooks, Selenis Leyva, Taryn Manning, Yael Stone, Jackie Cruz, Lea DeLaria, Adrienne C. Moore, Elizabeth Rodriguez Michael Harney and Nick Sandow. The series was created by Kohan and based on the book of the same name by Piper Kerman.

The show has received widespread critical acclaim throughout its run, garnering multiple Emmy nominations and back-to-back wins for Aduba in the supporting actress in a comedy series and drama series categories in 2014 and 2015. The show originally competed in the comedy category before a rule change ahead of the 2015 Emmys necessitated a switch to the drama category. READ MORE

FARGO SEASON 4 NEWS CHRIS ROCK JOINS CAST!

Of course my readers all known, I am a giant Fargo Freak and cannot wait for season 4 to hit TV in 2019!

Chris Rock is moving to “Fargo.”

The comedian will star in season four of FX’s hit limited series “Fargo,” the network announced Friday at the Television Critics Assn. press tour. The critically acclaimed series will begin production next year, for a targeted air date next year as well.

Described as a story of “immigration and assimilation and the things we do for money,” season 4 of “Fargo” is set in 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri, where two criminal syndicates — one Italian, one African-American — have struck an uneasy peace.

To cement their peace, the heads of both families have traded their eldest sons. Rock will play the head of one of the syndicates, who has surrendered his son to his enemy, and who must raise his son’s enemy as his own. But then the head of the Kansas City mafia goes into the hospital for routine surgery and dies — and everything changes.

Noah Hawley, who created the award-winning series, will again return as showrunner, writer and director. Joel & Ethan Coen, Warren Littlefield and John Cameron have also served as executive producers. “Fargo” is produced by MGM Television and FX Productions.

“I’m a fan of Fargo and I can’t wait to work with Noah,” said Rock.

The first season of “Fargo,” which starred Billy Bob Thornton and Martin Freeman and was set in 2006, won three Emmy Awards, including best miniseries. Season two, set in 1979, featured an ensemble cast including Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons and Jean Smart, and earned two Emmys. The third installment, set in 2010, starred Ewan McGregor (in dual roles), Carrie Coon and Mary Beth Winstead, landed six Emmy noms.

CARY ELWES AND JAKE BUSEY JOIN STRANGER THINGS SEASON 3 CAST!

Cary Elwes, Jake Busey Join 'Stranger Things' Cast for Season 3

Actors Cary Elwes and Jake Busey will join the “Stranger Things” cast in the show’s third season, Netflix announced Wednesday.

Elwes, known for “The Princess Bride,” will play a character named Mayor Kline, while Busey, from “Starship Troopers,” will play Bruce.

Mayor Kline is being described by Netflix promotional materials as “handsome, slick, and sleazy.” “Your classic ’80s politician – more concerned with his own image than with the people of the small town he governs.” The Bruce character played by Busey is “a journalist for the The Hawkins Post, with questionable morals and a sick sense of humor.”

Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos made the new casting announcement at Netflix’s See What’s Next event in Rome, where the streaming giant announced a slew of new productions from Europe and elsewhere around the world.

The kids from Hawkins are not alone. Brenner's other subjects are starting to discover their true powers and must all come together to take down the dangerous Mind Flayer in the Upside Down.

Starring Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Winona Ryder (Joyce), Noah Schnapp (Will), David Harbour (Chief Hopper), Natalia Dyer (Nancy), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan), Joe Kerry (Steve), Dacre Montgomery (Billy), Sadie Sink (Max) & Matthew Modine (Dr. Brenner)

DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE HAS A NEW BABY PRINCE LOUIS

The Royal baby has been named Prince Louis Arthur Charles Cambridge in a nod to Prince Charles' beloved great uncle Lord Mountbatten - here's what you need to know

The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to a son at 11.01am on Monday morning weighing 8lbs 7oz, inside the £5,900-a-stay The Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital in London.

After the Queen, other members of the Royal family and the Middleton family were told the good news, the royals' team emailed media organisations with the sex, weight and timing of the birth before tweeting the details.

Arthur, Albert, Philip or James...

As the Royal baby name wait goes on, observers will no doubt look into the history books in search for the couple's motivation.

When the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge pick a name for their newborn son, it is likely to be one that carries the weight of history with it; something meaningful; something with precedent.

So while Ethan, Logan and Jaxon were all popular last year, they are unlikely to be bestowed upon the younger brother of Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

KRONWALL HOPES STRONG FINISH CARRIES OVER TO NEXT SEASON

DETROIT -- The word that his Red Wings teammates use the most when talking about him is warrior.

Defenseman Niklas Kronwall has fought through his chronic knee problems to remain an effective player.

In the previous two seasons, Kronwall missed a combined 42 games.

This past season he missed only the first three games before returning to play the final 79 games, averaging 18:31 per game.

"I guess in a nutshell, just less load," Kronwall said the day the Wings cleaned out their lockers. "Didn't lift as much every week. Had one lift day a week instead of several, as I'd done in the past. Just less pounding on the joints on a weekly basis. Just doing alternative stuff. More stuff in the pool and things like that. That's what gave me the opportunity to play this year and I'm hoping it's gonna do the same thing for next year."

Kronwall, 37, ended the season with a six-game point streak, the longest by any Red Wing this season. It tied for Kronwall's best in five years.

"Last year it was a struggle to even watch him go through what he did, but that shows if you do the right things and you meet the right people during the summer and you work hard, you can come back stronger and healthier, and he did," captain Henrik Zetterberg said. "You saw it this year, not just the way he played the games he did, but how he was able to push himself, too and become stronger. I'm really happy to see it. Hopefully he'll have another good summer."

On March 27 against Pittsburgh, Kronwall scored a goal for his 400th career point, the 104th defenseman in league history to reach that milestone.

That goal was also the 80th of Kronwall's career, tying him for fourth place in franchise history in goals by a defenseman with Marcel Pronovost. READ MORE

MANSON FOLLOWERS DENIED PAROLE AGAIN

ABC NEWS: Officials denied parole Thursday for convicted killer Patricia Krenwinkel — a follower of cult leader Charles Manson — after considering whether battered women's syndrome affected her state of mind at the time of the notorious murders nearly five decades ago in California.

Krenwinkel, 69, was previously denied parole 13 times for the slayings of pregnant actress Sharon Tate and four other people.

The next night, she helped kill grocer Leno LaBianca and his wife Rosemary in what prosecutors say was an attempt by Manson to ignite a race war.

The decision on parole came six months after commissioners postponed the latest hearing so officials could investigate whether Krenwinkel was battered by Manson.

"They were willing to discount the level of control through the violence, threats, intimidation that was substantiated by their own investigators," Krenwinkel's attorney, Keith Wattley, said after the hearing. READ FULL STORY HERE

This woman is a monster': Sister of Manson murder victim Sharon Tate lashes out at Leslie van Houten after former beauty queen turned killer becomes eligible for parole

This is why Debra has started a petition on Change. org hoping to obtain enough signatures for California Governor Jerry Brown to deny Van Houten's parole.

LOS ANGELES — California Gov. Jerry Brown on Friday night blocked parole for Charles Manson follower and convicted killer Bruce Davis.

Brown’s rejection issued late Friday night is the fifth time Davis has been recommended for parole by a state panel only to see it blocked by a governor, and continues Brown’s unflinching pattern of refusing to allow anyone from Manson’s “family” to be freed.

On Feb. 1, the parole panel recommended release for the 74-year-old Davis, who is serving a life sentence for the 1969 slayings of musician Gary Hinman and stuntman Donald “Shorty” Shea. Davis was not involved in the more notorious killings of actress Sharon Tate and six others by Manson’s group. READ MORE

The Queen’s husband was born Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark on June 10 1921. He was the nephew of King Constantine of Greece. Although Prince was born on the island of Corfu, his royal family were exiled from the country when he was only one. Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (Philip Mountbatten; born Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark,[1] 10 June 1921)[fn 1] is the husband of Queen Elizabeth II.

A member of the House of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Philip was born into the Greek and Danish royal families. He was born in Greece, but his family was exiled from the country when he was an infant. After being educated in France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, he joined the Royal Navy in 1939, aged 18.

From July 1939, he began corresponding with the 13-year-old Princess Elizabeth (his third cousin through Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom and second cousin once removed through King Christian IX of Denmark), whom he had first met in 1934. During the Second World War he served with the Mediterranean and Pacific fleets.

After the war, Philip was granted permission by King George VI to marry Elizabeth. Before the official announcement of their engagement, he abandoned his Greek and Danish royal titles and became a naturalised British subject, adopting the surname Mountbatten from his maternal grandparents.

After an engagement of five months, he married Elizabeth on 20 November 1947. Just before the wedding, he was created Duke of Edinburgh. Philip left active military service when Elizabeth became Queen in 1952, having reached the rank of commander. He was formally made a Prince of the United Kingdom in 1957. FULL BIO

GM TO OFFER IN VEHICLE DATA WIRELESS PLANS!

This is good news for traveling and people who work in the field....but isn't this going to really make it worse for the driver talking/texting distraction problem?

FREEP  Buyers of new General Motors vehicles will soon have the option of connecting laptops, smartphones and tablets to wireless hotspots for an extra monthly charge.

The automaker revealed the pricing structure today for high-speed AT&T Internet packages in more than 30 of its 2015 model-year vehicles in the U.S. OnStar subscribers can get AT&T 4G LTE packages for as little as $5 per month, GM said.

Someone who doesn’t subscribe to GM’s OnStar service, which provides safety and security services, can pay anywhere from $10 per month for 200 megabytes of data to $50 per month for five gigabytes of data.

“Our customers will also have easy-to-understand data plans to let them tailor a connected car around each owner’s lifestyle,” said Mary Chan, OnStar president.

GM is the first automaker to introduce high-speed Internet capability to a majority of its vehicles. FULL STORY

WHY IS CASEY KASEM BEING HIDDEN FROM HIS CHILDEN AND FRIENDS??

CASEY WAS FOUND TODAY IN WASHINGTON STATE STORY HERE

**UPDATE**
It would appear from accounts we have been following, that wife of 34 years Jean Kasem, couldn't let go of her husband no matter what type of torture his health was causing him. The kids knew that Casey was in hideous condition and needed mercy intervention.

So most likely the answer was that Jean took Casey to Washington state to escape having to remove him from life support. Sadly, he was suffering and as much as we sympathize with Jean's loss, we are relieved that the legendary DJ will be free from this horrible pain.

The courts reversed their decision to force feed him and now have agreed to remove him from life support....

What in the world is going on with this poor man? Are the children gold digging and are so evil that his wife Jean would go to such extremes to keep them away? Or is she the evil controlling step mother from hell? This whole scene is a giant nightmare and all I can say is poor Casey Kasem... he was one of the hardest working men in entertainment. I am certain that if he was in his right mind he would be horrified by the shenanigans of his family. FULL STORY

Kasem was married to Linda Myers from 1972 to 1979 and they have three children together Kerri Kasem Mike Kasem and Julie Kasem.Liberty Irene Kasem is his daughter with current wife Jean.

In October 2013, Kerri Kasem said her father was suffering from Parkinson's disease.[16] Due to his condition, Kasem is no longer able to speak.[17] On October 1, 2013 Casey Kasem's three adult children and his brother protested in front of Kasem's home, saying Jean Kasem had been preventing contact with Kasem for three months.[15] On October 7, 2013, Julie Kasem and her husband, Dr. Jamil Aboulhosn, filed a conservatorship petition to place Casey Kasem under their care.

On May 12, 2014, Kerri Kasem was granted conservatorship over Jean Kasem's objection. The court also ordered an investigation into Casey Kasem's whereabouts after Jean Kasem's attorney said that Kasem had been removed from the country and would not reveal his location to the court.

LOS ANGELES — A judge on Monday ordered an investigation into the whereabouts of Casey Kasem after an attorney for the ailing radio personality’s wife said the former “Top 40″ host had been removed from the country.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Daniel S. Murphy ordered a court investigator and adult protective services to find out where Kasem is being treated and report back to the court. Kasem, 82, suffers from advanced Parkinson’s disease, can no longer speak and has been in various medical facilities chosen by his wife, Jean Kasem.

ABC US News | ABC Entertainment News

Casey Kasem, the most famous DJ in America, has disappeared, and his whereabouts remain a mystery, even to his own children.

A judge ordered an investigation into Kasem’s whereabouts Monday after an attorney for the ailing radio personality's wife said the former "Top 40" host had been removed from Los Angeles without his children's knowledge.

Kasem, 82, suffers from Lewy body dementia, which causes a progressive decline in mental abilities. He has been in various medical facilities chosen by his wife, Jean Kasem.

Kasem’s children say their stepmother had barred them from seeing their father. This is the family’s second bitter court battle over visitation.

Daughter Kerri Kasem had sought a temporary conservator-ship and was appointed her father's temporary caretaker Monday. Her attorney, Troy Martin, said the family believes the entertainer has been taken to an Indian reservation in Washington state.

MICHIGAN BOY FINDS 10,000 YEAR OLD MASTADON TOOTH

(CNN) -- Mastodons -- elephant-like beasts that lumbered across North America more than 10,000 years ago -- are long extinct, but apparently it wasn't tooth decay that did them in.

A 9-year-old Michigan boy stumbled across something -- literally -- that, it turns out, is a mastodon tooth. "I was walking down at the creek last summer. I felt something that I stepped on so I picked it up and everybody in the neighborhood thought it was pretty cool," Philip Stoll told CNN on Friday.

Mastodon

Affectionately called "Huckleberry Phil" in his neighborhood near Lansing because of his penchant for exploring outside, Philip took the lump home and washed it off in the kitchen sink, and checked to see if it was magnetic, his mother, Heidi Stoll said. It wasn't.
The peculiar object was about 8 inches in length, brown, and had six peaks.

LONG ISLAND TEENAGER ACCEPTED BY ALL IVY LEAGUE SCHOOLS!

He soared to the top, thanks to his “helicopter parents.”

The Long Island teenager who got accepted into all eight Ivy League colleges was whipped into shape by his strict mom and dad — who hovered nearby, encouraging him to push himself, he told The Post.

“They were helicopter parents. They monitored everything. They said, ‘You have a mind, and you can do it. Always do your best,’ ” said Kwasi Enin, 17, a senior at William Floyd High School in Mastic Beach. FULL STORY HERE

5 UN-VARNISHED QUESTIONS WITH ANSWERS ON MALAYSIAN FLIGHT 370

1. WHERE THE HELL IS THIS PLANE?

As evidence grows that the plane could have flown for hours after losing contact with air traffic control, the search area too has grown: It now includes the Gulf of Thailand, South China Sea, Strait of Malacca, the Andaman Sea and the Indian Ocean.

That could be anywhere from India to Australia, a stretch of the globe so vast that only the luckiest of breaks would turn up the missing plane. "This is an impossible task," said Peter Goelz, former National Transportation Safety Board managing director. "They've got to narrow it down more."

2. HOW CAN A BIG ASS PLANE JUST DISAPPEAR LIKE A PUFF OF SMOKE?

It doesn't. It -- or its pieces -- are somewhere. It doesn't help that Flight 370's flight path is unclear and that the search areas include vast waters and sparsely populated jungles and mountains.

But its apparent disappearance is made even stranger by the fact that the jet was laden with massive amounts of technology, including a transponder, UHF and VHF radios, automatic beacons, GPS and computer communications systems, as well as the cell phones of the passengers and crew.

3.  COULD THIS PLANE HAVE LANDED ON GILLIGAN'S ISLAND?

One theory U.S. officials are considering, according to that Wall Street Journal report, is that someone might have taken the plane to be used for some other purpose later. So it's theoretically possible that the plane could have landed at a remote airstrip where it's being hidden. (AHA)

But there are some big holes in that theory. The 777 is a big plane. It requires, at minimum, nearly a mile to land. And, says Quest, there's the matter of getting it someplace without setting off alarm bells. "You can't just fly a Triple 7 and not have a radar trace," he said. One senior U.S. official, citing information Malaysia has shared with the United States, told CNN that "there is probably a significant likelihood" that the aircraft is on the floor of the Indian Ocean.

4. WHAT'S UP WITH THE STOLEN PASSPORT THING?

Interpol says it has identified the men as Iranians Pouri Nourmohammadi, 18, and Delavar Seyed Mohammad Reza, 29, and Malaysian investigators say neither of them has any apparent connection to terrorist organizations. Stolen passports don't necessarily indicate terrorism. In fact, passengers flew without having their travel documents checked against its lost-and-stolen passport database more than a billion times in 2013, according to Interpol. Among the reasons someone might use a stolen passport: to immigrate to another country, to export goods without being paying taxes or to smuggle stolen goods, people, drugs or weapons.

5. IS THIS THE FIRST HUGE PLANE TO JUMP OFF THE RESERVATION?

No. Perhaps no disappearance proved as vexing as Air France 447, which went down after departing Rio de Janeiro on June 1, 2009. It took four searches and almost two years before the bulk of the wreckage and majority of bodies were recovered. The voice and data recorders weren't found on the ocean floor until May 2011.
