FARGO SEASON 4 NEWS CHRIS ROCK JOINS CAST!

Of course my readers all known, I am a giant Fargo Freak and cannot wait for season 4 to hit TV in 2019!

Chris Rock is moving to “Fargo.”

The comedian will star in season four of FX’s hit limited series “Fargo,” the network announced Friday at the Television Critics Assn. press tour. The critically acclaimed series will begin production next year, for a targeted air date next year as well.

Described as a story of “immigration and assimilation and the things we do for money,” season 4 of “Fargo” is set in 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri, where two criminal syndicates — one Italian, one African-American — have struck an uneasy peace.

To cement their peace, the heads of both families have traded their eldest sons. Rock will play the head of one of the syndicates, who has surrendered his son to his enemy, and who must raise his son’s enemy as his own. But then the head of the Kansas City mafia goes into the hospital for routine surgery and dies — and everything changes.

Noah Hawley, who created the award-winning series, will again return as showrunner, writer and director. Joel & Ethan Coen, Warren Littlefield and John Cameron have also served as executive producers. “Fargo” is produced by MGM Television and FX Productions.

“I’m a fan of Fargo and I can’t wait to work with Noah,” said Rock.

The first season of “Fargo,” which starred Billy Bob Thornton and Martin Freeman and was set in 2006, won three Emmy Awards, including best miniseries. Season two, set in 1979, featured an ensemble cast including Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons and Jean Smart, and earned two Emmys. The third installment, set in 2010, starred Ewan McGregor (in dual roles), Carrie Coon and Mary Beth Winstead, landed six Emmy noms.

★FARGO★ SEASON 3 PREMIERES APRIL 19 2017!!

FARGO SEASON 3 NEW CAST

As a giant fan of all that is FARGO...I am happy to share the new premiere date, Wednesday April 19, 2017at 10pm ET, with my readers! The new story begins in 2010 which is 4 years after the first season of Fargo. From what I have been reading the story has a lot tekkie/cell phone culture in the plot.

Fargo 3 Cast

One of my favorite pages is Den of Geeks. They have a synopsis of Season 3.
Set in 2010, the third season centers on “Emmit” and his slightly younger brother “Ray Stussy” (both played by Ewan McGregor). Emmit, the Parking Lot King of Minnesota, sees himself as an American success story, whereas Ray is more of a cautionary tale.

Forever living in his more successful brother’s shadow, Ray is a balding and pot-bellied parole officer with a huge chip on his shoulder about the hand he’s been dealt – and he blames his brother.

Their sibling rivalry follows a twisted path that begins with petty theft but soon leads to murder, mobsters and cut-throat competitive bridge. Read the Full News Hub for FARGO

FARGO SEASON 3 GETS GREEN LIGHT FROM FX!!

A little more than halfway through the second run of FX’s limited series Fargo, the cable net has ordered a third season. Season 1 of the drama from creator Noah Hawley based on the Coen brothers’ 1996 movie won three Emmy Awards including Outstanding Miniseries, and the current sophomore season has been widely praised by critics. No cast or premiere date for Season 3 was announced, but executive producers Hawley, Warren Littlefield, Joel & Ethan Coen, and John Cameron will return.

FX president John Landgraf has been public about his views that there is too much TV out there, but those opinions thankfully haven’t caused him to scale back on the quality programming his network puts out. The most recent evidence of this is the network’s decision to bring Fargo back for another round, and audiences can start anticipating a presumably dark and oddly hilarious Season 3 next year.

Though it was hard to tell what to expect from Fargo’s small screen debut when it was first announced, creator Noah Hawley’s approach to the material was about as engrossing and perfect as possible. Season 1 was critically acclaimed as all hell, and earned a ton of award nominations, but Season 2 has really upped the ante, and is currently one of the most lauded shows of the 2015 season, at least according to every website that matters. There’s just something about super-violent crimes and northern accents that people love to get into. READ MORE

WHY FARGO SEASON 2 HAS A COMPLETELY NEW CAST

2014-2015 Has had some of the finest televison entertainment coming from all the cable networks and upstart Netflix too...FARGO was my favorite of 2014. We are anxiously awaiting for Season 2 beginning October 12!

I bought the series on Amazon last year so I can re-watch, which I do all the time.

Will miss Billy Bob Thornton though....but now they have actor Jesse Plemons who played scary Todd in Breaking Bad so terrifyingly...can't wait!

CINEMA BLEND

Fargo is gearing up to premiere its second season premiering October 12, 2015. The show will feature ties to the first season, but will also feature new actors and a whole new time period.

Recently, show runner and creator Noah Hawley spoke out to explain why the FX drama decided to throw all of the former concepts out and start over for Season 2. Apparently, Joel and Ethan Coen—the creators of the original Fargo movie—were behind the inspiration.

 Joel and Ethan Coen

Here’s what Noah had to say:

Joel and Ethan never made the same movie twice.

It’s a short, simple and efficient reasoning, if I’ve ever heard one. The Coen brothers aren’t really big on sequels, choosing to hop from project to project and delve into a wide variety of characters. So, that’s what Hawley used for inspiration when he was coming up with the premise for Fargo Season 2.

Although the sophomore season of the FX drama will follow one character from the first season as a much younger man and while it is admittedly a prequel story, the ensemble cast, the story arc and even the tone of the new series is expected to be different than the FX series’ first round at bat. Season 2 of Fargo will take an interesting turn. Instead of moving forward, the series will turn back time and be set in a post-Vietnam War era. Lou Solverson, who was played by Keith Carradine in season 1, will be played by Patrick Wilson in season 2. Having just returned from Vietnam, Solverson has been assigned to investigate a crime between a small-town gang and a major Mob syndicate.
