MINDHUNTER SEASON 2 PREMIERES AUGUST 2019!

One of my favorite of all the new Netflix Original series. It is the story of the beginning of the FBI Behavioral Science Division. Smart and suspenseful series with great acting... Check out superb actor Jack Erdie who plays spree killer Richard SpeckSee Full Cast and Crew

Netflix: Mindhunter is making its return for its second season in August 2019 on Netflix. The long-anticipated return of the Netflix crime series release date got dropped this week in an interview with Charlize Theron who serves as the executive producer for the show.

As you may know, Mindhunter was one of the biggest Netflix Original releases of 2017. The first season dropped on October 13th, 2017 and it’s been an excruciating wait ever since for a new season. Quite often we see Netflix Originals taking much longer than the traditional yearly release schedule most are accustomed to with cable TV.

In case you’re not familiar with the show, it’s an absolute must-watch on Netflix right now. The series is set in the late ’70s and is about the early days of criminal profiling with FBI agents looking into various cases of serial killers.

THE CROWN: IMAGINING A ROYAL WORLD EXHIBIT!

So wish I could visit this exhibit!! The Paley Center for Media is giving Beverly Hills an inside look at the  style of the British royal family in a new exhibition.

“The Crown: Imagining a Royal World" opened May 12, featuring artifacts from Netflix’s The Crown season two. On display will be costumes, on-set photos, videos and other ephemera from the award-winning series about Queen Elizabeth II (Claire Foy).

The free multimedia exhibition, running through July 29, will put the British monarchy in context of modern American politics during the Kennedy era.

Along with Foy's acting, the costumes are the crown jewel of the show — they won the Primetime Emmy Award for outstanding period/fantasy costumes in 2017 and earned costume designer Jane Petrie a Costume Designers Guild Award.

“Designing the costumes for The Crown has been an incredible privilege, and being able to present some of my favorite designs at The Paley Center for Media is just fantastic,” said Jane Petrie, the show's costume designer.

“Season Two is all about the Windsor’s struggle to modernize at a time of great global change. From Princess Margaret’s exciting new love interest, to the Kennedy’s swooping into Buckingham Palace, outshining the Queen and her consort, the clash between old and the new, America and Britain, takes center stage and very much inspired the costumes. It’s a fascinating moment of our shared history and was an absolute pleasure to design. I just hope visitors will appreciate the exhibit as much as we enjoyed telling this story.”

GEARING UP FOR BETTER CALL SAUL SEASON 2 FEB 15 2016!!

Saul Goodman actor Bob Odenkirk discusses Season Two of Better Call Saul. Returns Feb 15th 2016. Listen to the very end of Odenkirk's comments. Sounds like we might have some of our favorite characters from Breaking Bad making guest appearances!

He wasn't always Saul Goodman, ace attorney for chemist-turned-meth dealer Walter White. Six years before he begins to represent Albuquerque's most notorious criminal, Goodman is Jimmy McGill, a small-time attorney hustling to make a name for himself.

He's a forceful champion for his low-income clients, an underdog whose morals and ambitions often clash. Jimmy works with private eye Mike Ehrmantraut, a former Philadelphia cop and recent transplant to the Southwest. Mike has a specialized skill set -- he's a "fixer" of sticky situations -- that Jimmy soon learns to appreciate.

WHY FARGO SEASON 2 HAS A COMPLETELY NEW CAST

2014-2015 Has had some of the finest televison entertainment coming from all the cable networks and upstart Netflix too...FARGO was my favorite of 2014. We are anxiously awaiting for Season 2 beginning October 12!

I bought the series on Amazon last year so I can re-watch, which I do all the time.

Will miss Billy Bob Thornton though....but now they have actor Jesse Plemons who played scary Todd in Breaking Bad so terrifyingly...can't wait!

CINEMA BLEND

Fargo is gearing up to premiere its second season premiering October 12, 2015. The show will feature ties to the first season, but will also feature new actors and a whole new time period.

Recently, show runner and creator Noah Hawley spoke out to explain why the FX drama decided to throw all of the former concepts out and start over for Season 2. Apparently, Joel and Ethan Coen—the creators of the original Fargo movie—were behind the inspiration.

 Joel and Ethan Coen

Here’s what Noah had to say:

Joel and Ethan never made the same movie twice.

It’s a short, simple and efficient reasoning, if I’ve ever heard one. The Coen brothers aren’t really big on sequels, choosing to hop from project to project and delve into a wide variety of characters. So, that’s what Hawley used for inspiration when he was coming up with the premise for Fargo Season 2.

Although the sophomore season of the FX drama will follow one character from the first season as a much younger man and while it is admittedly a prequel story, the ensemble cast, the story arc and even the tone of the new series is expected to be different than the FX series’ first round at bat. Season 2 of Fargo will take an interesting turn. Instead of moving forward, the series will turn back time and be set in a post-Vietnam War era. Lou Solverson, who was played by Keith Carradine in season 1, will be played by Patrick Wilson in season 2. Having just returned from Vietnam, Solverson has been assigned to investigate a crime between a small-town gang and a major Mob syndicate.

COLIN FARRELL/VINCE VAUGHAN CAST IN TRUE DETECTIVE SEASON 2!

Colin Farrell has been cast in season 2 of HBO's True Detective!

Colin Farrell, 38, told The Sunday World that he will have a part in the next installment of HBO's anthology True Detective.

Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch

"I'm doing the second series," Farrell said. "I'm so excited." HBO reportedly has a few other big names circling including Rachel McAdams, Elisabeth Moss, and Taylor Kitsch, according to Entertainment Weekly.

About the second season, Farrell said, "I know very little about it, but we're shooting in the environs of Los Angeles, which is great. It means I get to stay at home and see the kids."

Farrell is only the first of four rumored leads to officially confirm his involvement with two other actors, Taylor Kitsch and Vince Vaughn, still in the mix but not confirmed. Kitsch would play another detective investigating “the bloody murder of a corrupt city businessman found dead the night before a major transportation deal”

Season 2 of “True Detective” is finally starting to take shape.
Days after Colin Farrell confirmed his involvement, HBO announced Tuesday that Vince Vaughn will join him in the cast of the anthology series.

Vince Vaughn, who made his bones in Swingers, is reportedly the bad guy. A corrupt corporate type, he’s got politicians in his pockets and more than misdemeanors on his mind.

Vaughn’s character is described as “a former thug turned businessman” who is working with corrupt politicians to push through “a high-speed railway system” that would run along the coast of California bringing business in its wake.
