Summer Classic Film Series
returns to the Michigan Theater
Ann Arbor, Mich. – The Michigan Theater announced today that its annual Kerrytown Market and Shops Summer Classic Film Series, presented with support from MLive/Ann Arbor News, is returning for a 31th season.
From late June to early September, the classic theater will screen classic films every Sunday at 1:30 PM and Tuesday at 7:00 PM.
The full series lineup includes:
6/21 and 6/23: The Godfather (1972). Sponsored by Sweetwater on Liberty
6/28 and 6/30: Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf (1966)
7/4 Special 4th of July screening of The Great Escape (1963) at 1:30 PM
7/5 and 7/7: The Producers (1968)
7/12 and 7/14: The Night of the Hunter (1955)
7/19 and 7/21: Easy Rider (1969)
7/26 and 7/28: The General (1926) silent film with live organ accompaniment by Andrew Rogers
8/2 and 8/4: The Thin Man (1934)
8/9 and 8/11: Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979)
8/16 and 8/18: Duck Soup (1933)
8/23 and 8/25: Sing-a-Long Mary Poppins (1954) * Special ticket prices apply.
8/30 and 9/1: Forrest Gump (1994)
9/6 and 9/8: Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961)
9/7: Casablanca (1942). FREE for students with valid I.D.!
