Finally! After a very long wait, the fifth season of the AMC television series Better Call Saul is scheduled to premiere on February 23, 2020.
Bob Odenkirk (Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman), Jonathan Banks, Rhea Seehorn, Patrick Fabian, Michael Mando, and Giancarlo Esposito will reprise their roles from previous seasons and are joined by Tony Dalton, promoted to the main cast from his recurring role as Lalo Salamanca in season four.
Will we finally see the transition of Jimmy McGill into Saul Goodman? I can't wait to see this season. May start the rewatching after I finish The Crown. Here is a link to BCS recap videos.
AMC has officially ordered the supernatural horror drama “NOS4A2” to series.
The show, based on the novel of the same name by Joe Hill, follows Vic McQueen, a young, working class artist who discovers she has a supernatural ability to track the seemingly immortal Charlie Manx. Manx feeds off the souls of children, then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland, a twisted Christmas Village of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas day and unhappiness is against the law. Vic must strive to defeat Manx and rescue his victims without losing her mind or falling victim to him herself.
It is currently slated to premiere on AMC in 2019 with a 10-episode first season. Hill will serve as an executive producer. Jami O’Brien, who previously worked on AMC shows “Fear the Walking Dead” and “Hell on Wheels,” created the show for television and will serve as showrunner.
Lauren Corrao, co-president of Michael Eisner’s Tornante Television, will also executive produce. The series is produced by AMC Studios in association with Tornante Television. The show will be distributed internationally by AMC Studios.
Alex Godman, the English-raised son of Russian mafia exiles, has spent his life trying to escape the shadow of their past, building his own legitimate business and forging a life with his girlfriend, Rebecca. But when a murder unearths his family's past, Alex is drawn into the criminal underworld where he must confront his values to protect those he loves.

Jesse Custer struggles to escape a past of crime and violence. A renegade angel-demon spawn comes to Earth looking for a host. And an Irish vampire named Cassidy lands in Texas.
Humans is one of the most well written and acted television series I have had the pleasure of streaming. Lots of my favorite British actors and also featuring American's superb actor William Hurt.
The series, written by Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley (Spooks, Spooks: The Greater Good), is set in a parallel present and explores what happens when the lines between humans and machines are blurred. The eight-episode second season picks up several months after the events of Season 1, with Niska (Emily Berrington) still at large and in possession of the consciousness code. Her synth family, Mia (Gemma Chan), Leo (Colin Morgan of MERLIN), and Max (Ivanno Jeremiah), unaware of her location, are each trying to find their place in the world while Joe (Tom Goodman-Hill) and Laura (Katherine Parkinson) attempt to mend their marriage.
As unconfirmed reports surface of Synths behaving inexplicably, the ripple effects of one simple yet seismic decision sees the past return dramatically and surprisingly to the door of the Hawkins house. Joe, Laura, and the entire family are faced with a difficult choice that will put the family under an intense spotlight. As an emerging form of intelligent life – the Synths – and an established one – humanity – fight for their places in the world, a thrilling multi-stranded narrative evolves which continues to ask: Who has the right to determine what it means to be alive?
HUMANS, which will return on Monday, Feb. 13th at 10/9c.
The new season will continue to follow the twists and turns of Bob Odenkirk’s Jimmy McGill on his devolution toward Breaking Bad’s Saul Goodman.
AMC announced today that the Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul's third season will premiere on Monday, April 10 at 10 PM ET. This is a bit later than usual. BCS usually debuts in February.
Saul Goodman actor Bob Odenkirk discusses Season Two of Better Call Saul. Returns Feb 15th 2016. Listen to the very end of Odenkirk's comments. Sounds like we might have some of our favorite characters from Breaking Bad making guest appearances!
He wasn't always Saul Goodman, ace attorney for chemist-turned-meth dealer Walter White. Six years before he begins to represent Albuquerque's most notorious criminal, Goodman is Jimmy McGill, a small-time attorney hustling to make a name for himself.
He's a forceful champion for his low-income clients, an underdog whose morals and ambitions often clash. Jimmy works with private eye Mike Ehrmantraut, a former Philadelphia cop and recent transplant to the Southwest. Mike has a specialized skill set -- he's a "fixer" of sticky situations -- that Jimmy soon learns to appreciate.
HUMANS, a bold new eight-part drama series from AMC, Channel 4 and Kudos, is set in a parallel present where the latest must-have gadget for any busy family is a 'Synth' - a highly-developed robotic servant eerily similar to its live counterpart.
Written by British writing partnership Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley (Spooks, Spooks: The Greater Good), HUMANS is based on the award-winning Swedish sci-fi drama Real Humans.
"A lot of different types of jobs are automated now," says co-writer Sam Vincent. "Everything is automated with a kiosk now and there’s no guy at the counter. There's a real explosion of that happening and we wanted to reflect those social and economic trends...If we had something like the Synths we have on our show, that effect would be magnified a hundredfold, and that was quite interesting. We're really going quite deep into how society would change."
HUMANS, which stars William Hurt, Katherine Parkinson, Tom Goodman-Hill, Colin Morgan, Rebecca Front, Neil Maskell, and Gemma Chan, will return for a second season.
Yes!!! Humans is a FANTASTIC television experience...I just adore this show and can't stop raving about it to all my friends! Check out the trailer below...
AMC today announced that the critically acclaimed drama series HUMANS has been renewed for a second season. The series will return for eight new episodes, with production starting next year.
Co-produced by AMC and Channel 4 with Kudos, the makers of Utopia and Broadchurch, the first season tapped into society’s preoccupation with and mistrust of advancing technology and artificial intelligence.
What does it mean to be human? Can the very traits through which we define humanity (love, trust, loyalty, friendship, sacrifice) be taught? What really is family? Exploring humans’ inherent fear of the unknown and the possible implications of granting machines consciousness, the final episodes will leave viewers on a thrilling cliff-hanger.
“We’re so pleased to announce a second season of HUMANS and extend our terrific partnership with Channel 4, Kudos and the stellar cast, crew and writers Sam and Jonathan,” said Joel Stillerman, president of original programming and development for AMC and Sundance TV. “As one of the year’s top new cable series, HUMANS has been embraced by fans and critics across the U.S. and UK. We’re looking forward to continuing this very captivating story and further exploring the show’s parallel, Synth-filled world that hits so disturbingly close to home.”
Penned by British writing partners Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley (Spooks, Spooks: The Greater Good) and based on the award-winning Swedish sci-fi drama Real Humans from Matador Films, the series stands as a top five cable drama launch among adults 25-54 in the U.S. this season. The first episode was Channel 4’s highest rated originated drama in 20 years. Read More
Great news! A new series that I can really get into begins this MONDAY on AMC....Check it out!
“The Making of The Mob: New York” will premiere on Monday, June 15th at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, and be narrated by Emmy Award-winning actor Ray Liotta.
Kicking off “Mob Mondays,” the eight-part series begins in 1905 and spans over 50 years to trace the rise of Charles “Lucky” Luciano, Meyer Lansky, Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel and other notorious gangsters from their beginnings as a neighborhood gang of teenagers to murderous entrepreneurs and bootleggers who organized the criminal underworld, turning the Mafia into an American institution.
The premiere will air following a 25th Anniversary feature presentation of 1990s Oscar-winning film Goodfellas (Ray Liotta, Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci) at 7:00 p.m. ET/PT. “The Making of The Mob: New York” is executive produced by Emmy Award-winning Stephen David Entertainment (“The World Wars,” “The Men Who Built America”).
“Narrating ‘The Making of The Mob: New York’ is a thrill for me because I’m fascinated, like many, by the rich, untold history of these men and their strong ties to each other,” said Liotta. “Stephen David is a skilled storyteller and I’m happy to lend my voice to this series.” Utilizing an immersive blend of dramatic scenes, archival footage and groundbreaking VFX, “The Making of The Mob: New York” is AMC’s first ever docu-drama featuring exclusive interviews with notable names including former NYC Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, Meyer Lansky II, Chazz Palminteri, Drea de Matteo, Joe Mantegna, Frankie Valli, Mob attorney and former Las Vegas mayor Oscar Goodman and noted author and historian David Pietrusza, among many others.
As part of AMC’s “Mob Mondays,” AMC will extend the Mafia theme by partnering each episode of “The Making of The Mob: New York” with a lead-in from their extensive library of iconic mobster films. Long the cornerstones of the popular annual “Mob Week” programming event on AMC, lead-in titles will include The Godfather, The Godfather Part II, Goodfellas, American Gangster, Donnie Brasco, Scarface, Casino and Carlito’s Way.
My most favorite character! He is the comic relief to this amazing drama Mad Men. MM is zooming up on it's grand finale and no more Sundays with Don and Roger....I will miss them.....
John Slattery talked to AMC.com about Roger’s transformation and what the future holds for Roger and Don.
Q: If the cast of Mad Men got together again to do another show, what kind of show could you see them doing?
A: Game of Thrones. I would play Peter Dinklage’s father-in-law, the medieval barber… We could all be in leather leggings. It would be great.
Q: Roger has been on quite an odyssey over the last couple of seasons. What would you say is the most surreal Roger moment?
A: The episode where [Mona and Roger] go to get our daughter out of the commune. It’s crazy. It was the first time shooting the show when I got the whole hippie thing. I was a little kid when all that was going on, and I have older sisters and I look back at pictures and remember them dressed like that, but shooting that episode was like a little bit of a fever dream.
Q: Roger negotiated the deal to sell SC&P to McCann. Did it feel like a return to earlier times for your character?
A: I think wherever Roger would go, whether he was sort of an outlier or back in the fold by choice or by necessity, he would be informed by his orbit elsewhere, which is what was so good about all those characters… All the shenanigans and drug-taking and relationships and deals that went belly-up were part of the decision making. And when Bert [Cooper] says to Roger, “You know, you’re not a leader, you’re a child,” basically, Roger takes that as motivation and stands up for his company and becomes a leader.
Q: So in a way, there’s no going back to the way things were in Mad Men…
A: It all kind of remains unexpected up until the end, which is all a tribute to [Matthew Weiner]. He never wanted to go over the same ground twice. You know, so many shows do that — you hit a particularly fruitful vein and you just want to keep tapping that well — and he never wanted to do that. He never wanted to go back. - Read Full Story Here
Q: What do you think Don has learned about women and relationships over the course of the series?
A: That maybe he’s not very good at them. I hope he’s learned that, because that seems to be what everyone else has learned. Don is searching for something and has been for a long, long time. I don’t think he knows what he’s searching for, I just think he knows he’s searching for something… and I think people can resonate with that feeling of being dissatisfied and wondering what’s at the root of it. I think that’s why we have a billion-dollar-a-year psychotherapy business — figuring out what it is that’s getting them through the day.
Q: Do you enjoy playing a character who’s unraveling?
A: Looking back, even to the first season, there was a lot of Don that we knew was not okay. That’s in the pilot. He has this whole day and he goes through this incredible journey to his wife and kids and then you realize, Oh, that’s part of it too… In many ways, the course of the show has been stripping away of all of this stuff until there’s just this core left. What does that signify? Who is that person?
Q: Were you curious about the resolution of any other character’s story?
A: No. There was this idea going around that I knew everything because Matthew Weiner told me the whole thing. He didn’t tell me everything. He just told me kind of how he saw the series ending and kind of where I fit in it… I just had images and thoughts and ideas and I thought, “That sounds pretty good,” so I was as excited as anyone to see how’s it actually going to go.
Sad that another one of my favorite TV shows is coming to an end...

Halt and Catch Fire, known by the mnemonic HCF, refers to several computer machine code instructions that cause the CPU to cease meaningful operation. The expression "catch fire" is intended as a joke; the CPU does not literally catch fire, but it does stop functioning. It is also occasionally referred to as "SDI" for "Self Destruct Immediate". AMC’s new original series Halt and Catch Fire debuts this Sunday, June 1 at 10/9c on AMC. Want to delve into the series before it begins? Here are ten ways to get ready:
