Declassified Records is proud to announce the first single from their newest artist BLACK CAT 6 entitled “Don't Hesitate” will be released on Halloween, October 31, 2019, to all major digital music outlets. Black Cat 6 was formed in August of 2019 and features Grammy-winning musician/producer Neil Citron on guitars, keyboards and vocals, Luke Fattore on drums and Jon Pomplin on bass guitars.
“Don't Hesitate” is the first single from the upcoming Black Cat 6 album “Scratching My Itch” due for international release from Declassified Records in November 2019. The music touches on the best of blues, prog, fusion and metal, with a contemporary edge that’s provided in part by the addition of an 8 string electric guitar. GAME OF THRONES: HOUSE OF THE DRAGON GETS 10 EPISODE GREEN LIGHT!
The first Game of Thrones prequel starring Naomi Watts was to take place thousands of years before the original series. It was to be written and co-created by Jane Goldman. The cast was notified that HBO was not moving forward with this pilot. The new one is 300 years before the original series. Much better IMO
HBO killed off this first Game of Thrones prequel, which starred Naomi Watts and already had a pilot and expansive cast.
But...GREAT news! A brand new prequel series The House of Dragons will feature the House Targaryen. HBO just ordered this version straight to a 10 episode series, while the former only got a pilot which was not picked up.
The Dragons were the best part of GOT
House of the Dragon is being co-created by George R.R. Martin and Ryan Condal, the 10-episode spinoff is set in the early days of Westeros and focused on House Targaryen. “House of the Dragon” is based on Martin’s “Fire & Blood” book, and takes place 300 years before the events of “Game of Thrones.”
Condal and Miguel Sapochnik, who directed several fan-favorite episodes of the original “Game of Thrones,” will serve as co-showrunners on the series and executive produce along with Martin and Vince Gerardis.
Sapochnik will also direct the pilot and additional episodes.
“The ‘Game of Thrones’ universe is so rich with stories,” Bloys said. “We look forward to exploring the origins of House Targaryen and the earlier days of Westeros along with Miguel, Ryan and George.” Stay tuned!

HOW TO EMBRACE RETRO FASHION THIS WINTER
When you think of retro fashion, you may picture brightly colored prints and pretty dresses. This means you might only dress in your chosen style during the summer, heading back to modern styles once the temperature drops. However, there’s no reason not to embrace retro-chic when it’s cold, and below are a few ways to add vintage style to your closet in winter.
Layer it up
When your favorite vintage dress or shirt becomes unsuitable for the weather, you can use it as a layer to create a quirky retro look. For example, pinafore and shift dresses can be worn over a long-sleeved black t-shirt and paired with black pantyhose for a wintery look. Vintage men’s shirts can be worn under a classic sport coat and paired with jeans for an easy-going look that is somewhere between retro and modern.
Get some great outerwear
Your outerwear is something that’s going to be seen a lot over the winter months, so why not invest in something that makes you feel amazing? It can be difficult to find vintage coats and jackets that are still in good condition, but if you shop at trenchlondon.com, you’ll discover retro-inspired styles such as trench coats and Harrington jackets that add a vintage vibe to any outfit.
Add some vintage-style footwear
Like outerwear, it can be challenging to find genuine vintage footwear, as most people discard their old shoes. However, you’ll find lots of vintage styles in stores that have never gone out of fashion. For example, knee-high boots have always had retro appeal, yet most women wear them every winter. If you want to add a real vintage vibe, go for white mid-calf or knee-high boots, also known as go-go boots, which were huge in the mid-60s.
These look great with a short skirt and a vintage fur coat. Men’s shoes haven’t changed a lot over the decades, avoid sneakers and go for some classic brogues or Oxford shoes to turn back the clock.
Get some retro accessories
Vintage outfits are all about the little details, such as:
- Hats: Berets, fedoras, or a smart little fascinator all look retro.
- Jewelry: A strand of pearls or a cocktail ring instantly adds a classy vintage touch.
- Gloves: In decades past, nobody would leave the house without gloves. Leather gloves are particularly cool when paired with a trench coat.
- Sunglasses: It can be bright on frosty winter days, so add some giant Jackie O sunglasses to your look.
Choose retro hairstyles
You don’t have to spend a fortune at the hair salon to get a retro style. It’s easy to backcomb your hair to get a beehive style, and if you add a colorful scarf, then your entire outfit will have a vintage feel.
Men can go for a retro style such as a quiff or a slicked side parting to instantly give them a matinee idol style, which looks great when you’re wearing a suit or need to make a big impression.
The cold weather doesn’t have to stop you from embracing vintage trends. Look for style inspiration from icons of the 50s and 60s to see how they dressed in cold climates and focus on the small details for a stylish look.

MYTHS REGARDING PROFESSIONAL POKER PLAYERS
There are few jobs quite as exciting as the professional poker player, so it’s easy to see why there’s so much interest around them.
From the long-lasting career of Doyle Brunson, the outbursts and controversies surrounding Phil Hellmuth and the chatty nature of Daniel Negreanu - it’s the personality of the players that can make the game so interesting.
What goes on between the ears of the professional poker player might be strictly kept for themselves, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t a few myths here and there that pop up surrounding the profession and those that play.
This late in the game we’ve heard just about every myth, misconception and flat out lie under the sun, but that doesn’t mean that the truth isn’t common knowledge.
Here are just some of the biggest myths that we’ve seen in recent years surrounding professional poker players as a collective.
Poker pros are great at mathematics
Coming in hot with one of the most popular myths surrounding poker players, it’s actually not true that poker players are experts when it comes to the numbers.
Although it doesn’t hurt knowing a thing or two about the numbers and theory behind the game, the majority of the calculations used in the game of poker are actually rather simple. So simple, in fact, that some of the biggest players avoid the numbers altogether, playing with experience and feeling over any form of statistics.
There’s no long equations, hypothesis or complex long division for those that like data - just the pot odds and implied odds (alongside a couple of other little bits) that players really need to know.
It doesn’t take a genius to work out the figures and, with enough practice, just about anyone will be able to work out the math.
It’s all about the big bluff
If you’ve spent enough time watching some of the best hands and biggest bluffs on YouTube, you might be forgiven for thinking that poker players all practice and shoot for the big bluff to eliminate opponents and go for the win.
Put simply, this is far from the truth. Although big bluffs are some of the entertaining play, it’s not exactly what professionals look for in any given game. Both being able to identify and execute a bluff is an essential part of the game (great guide on how to do it here), but it’s far from the most important part.
There are the basics, the pre-flop ranges, the continuation bet, the balancing of the ranges and plenty of other little bits and pieces that need to be considered before the big players can even think about making a bluff.
It’s not about how good you are at lying, it’s about how much you can read from the other players.
Poker pros are all after that one big win
We’ve got Hollywood to thank for this myth, but the truth is that poker players aren’t all chasing that one big win - it’s actually a process of consistency and grinding the tables.
The majority of pros making a living from poker aren’t just playing for the chance to win that one big game, but rather are always bettering their game, playing in tournaments and poker rooms in their favorite casinos. Granted, there are a few players that shoot for the bigger wins and are more than happy to live off the pot, but it’s rare.
It’s not the big win - it’s the process and consistency.
Poker pros risk millions of their own dollars
No matter which pro player you’re targeting, the chances are that they’re going to take a hit that’ll be difficult to come back from if they’re betting millions of dollars of their own money in a game of poker.
This isn’t always the case and plenty of players choose to sell shares of their action to friends, family, and members of online marketplaces to ease the burden, similar to investing in a sense. With players aware of proper bankroll management, they’re able to reduce the variance and the risk they’ve put on themselves.
If you’re looking to some of the biggest players, they may even get their buy-in through sponsors, so there’s little for them to worry about. After all, games can be stressful enough.
Poker pros make most of their money in games
If you’re a player on the world stage, such as Daniel Negreanu or Doyle Brunson, you’d be mad not to opt for additional revenue streams adding to your poker winnings.
The bulk of the money that poker professionals make doesn’t actually come from the games and tournaments, but the sponsorship deals and schemes that the players release.
Adrian Sireca, of OnlineCasinoGems, spoke briefly on the way professional players make a living: “Playing poker is just the start, once you’ve got a name a personality out there, everything becomes much easier. It’s why so many pros have masterclasses, books, and big-time sponsors.”
Looks like you’ll be getting paid twice if you’re winning games regularly!
To cut a long story short
There are plenty of myths and misconceptions surrounding poker and the professionals that play for a living, but the truth behind them tends to make a lot of sense when taking a second to think.
Although mathematics is an important part of the game at the higher levels, it doesn’t take a genius to work out the numbers required and given enough practice, just about everyone can do it. Players don’t go for the big bluff, it helps to be able to identify and execute a bluff effectively, but there’s much more to be considered in the game.
Players don’t see the bulk or at least all of their income from the bigger games and tournaments, but the sponsorship deals and alternative revenue streams that stem from the exposure in the community. Similarly, they’re also not always after the big win, it’s instead a continuous grind to always improve skills and win games.
Ultimately, poker is a game of skill and to get that skill players need to spend a good chunk of time practicing.
In the end, good poker players aren’t born, they’re built.

6 AMAZING WAYS THE BIOTECH INDUSTRY IS LEVERAGING AI IN 2019
6 Amazing Ways The Biotech Industry Is
Leveraging Artificial Intelligence In 2019
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are becoming fixtures in the world of tech startups. In fact, with both of these tools at your disposal, you can easily enter the tech industry and build from there. However, AI and ML are also beginning to show up as useful tools in the biotech industry.
Partnerships are forming these days between Big Pharma companies and biotech startups that have incorporated AI and ML. These joint ventures have already proven to be successful in many different fronts. But how exactly can the biotech industry benefit from the use of AI?
Here is a look at the top benefits to come from the use of this tool to date:
1 – Drug Discovery
There is no doubt that the most exciting connection to come from biotech and AI is in the field of drug discovery. The main reason for this is that AI makes some of the drug discoveries possible at a fraction of the cost of developing and researching the same item by traditional means. Because current drug discovery economics are unsustainable, AI and ML change the playing field drastically.
When you consider that traditional drug discovery costs can average well over $2.5-billion and that the trials necessary for a single drug amount to 12 years, it is easy to see how AI can cut costs. The easier solutions have all been found so now the more difficult discoveries are coming to the forefront and these are the ones that cost so much in today’s marketplace.
2 – Lab Assistants
Tasks that were typically handled by lab assistants are slowly being handed over to AI. They include such activities as data analysis and gene editing constructs. Where AI has proven to be most valuable in this application is primarily related to time and efficiency. For quicker and more efficient work, AI wins the comparison to human's hands down.
According to Healthcare Weekly, this is of particular note with the ability of AI to generate more data in a much tighter timeframe, it only makes sense that the biotech industry adopts programs that employ AI. With computers that can conduct and analyze experiments in the artificial intelligence arena, cost savings are significant and data collection is more efficient.
3 – Diagnostics
In the present day, diagnostic assays don’t normally get updated unless there has been a significant paradigm shift. This means that they are developed once and improvements are minimal. With AI introduced into this area of biotech, the results collected as data from results can be used immediately to improve the diagnostic tests and the more accurate they become.
Genetic analysis is where AI has made a significant impact to date. For example, data analysis can take several months in traditional settings but with new artificial intelligence platforms, the same work can be completed in a matter of days. With ML behind the AI in this instance, the diagnostic process becomes smarter as each test is run and analyzed.
4 – Drug Targeting
Biotech has found a novel way to make use of AI in addition to all the practical benefits noted above. Something called drug targeting has been around for a long time but with the ability of ML and AI to retain information, even slight variations of information, potential drug targets can be identified. This is meant for use with existing and newly developing drugs.
Essentially, with AI scientists can process data that can find and complete novel connections between disease and potential drug targets. In other words, drugs that we currently use to combat one type of disease may also be useful in fighting the symptoms of some other disease when combined with a new, currently under development drug or medication.
5 – Enhancing Patient Experience
Probably one of the most amazing ways that biotech is leveraging artificial intelligence is in the way it enhances patient data and experience. Using a patient's clinical history and personal preferences, AI can assist doctors in providing more personalized treatment to that patient. At the very least, the technology will provide for informed clinical decisions to be made.
The positive effects of AI in dealing with patients go far beyond this as well. The ability to store and process so much information with AI lends itself to effectively managing patient records and related data. With the ability to better store and offer improved access to that information to doctors will result in better patient care than has been experienced to date.
6 – Streamlines Everything
One of the most underrated benefits to AI and ML in biotech is how it has improved how the industry operates. With faster data collection, more efficient data being collected and how machine learning can use that data to improve anything from clinical research to make better decisions during the diagnostic phase, AI is making an impact.
Scientists now have reliable means to work with as partners, to collect information and speed up the path taken to find new or improved ways of helping us to fight disease. AI has proven to be a vital tool in the biotech industry and we are only just seeing the beginning of a very long partnership. Streamlining systems make them perform better and more effectively and lead to the development of newer systems.
As we all continue to live longer, it is important to have a strong healthcare system. Building the foundation of that system is biotechnology. It is a field where artificial intelligence has become an active partner and it has been proven time and time again that AI is assisting biotech in ways that were only imagined years ago.
According to Digital Authority Partners, the positives far outweigh the negatives related to AI when you see the many useful applications of it in biotech. And quite honestly, the future looks bright as a result of this partnership. Expect to see AI in many more ways and used to improve other aspects of the biotech industry in the years to come.

Himalayan Salt Lamps have gained popularity for their presumed health and wellbeing benefits in recent years, but they also hold a place in the hearts of those obsessed with astronomy.
This is because there is a belief that Himalayan Salt directly correlates with our primordial oceans, which is similar to the blood in our bodies. Under this belief, you can help reconnect your loved one with the atmosphere around them by gifting them this unique gift.
We aren’t the only ones who think this would make a cool gift, however; a similar lamp was also featured in CoolThingsChicago’s latest gift guide!

This rock might not have come directly from space via a meteorite, but many astronomers still consider the rocks produced on Earth to be special. This is because rocks were part of the original formation of Earth, and still play a big part in its internal structure.
Even if your astronomical friend isn’t interested in this much detail, however, this rock will fit right in among other astronomy-based merchandise due to its slick, black design.
Featured in Giftwits’ anniversary guide, this would make a great post-wedding gift, but it’s also suitable for things like birthdays, christenings and other such occasions.
The Weightless Experience
Buying something for an astronomy buff who seems to have everything related to their interest can be difficult, so why not treat them to an experience instead? Currently touring states throughout the US, this zero gravity experience will allow your loved one to experience what it feels like to be an Astronaut.
Depending on the package you purchase, the receiver will be able to perform several stunts within the aircraft and have professional photos and a video to document their experience forever.

MICHIGAN SPREE KILLER BILLY E HARDESTY CAPTURED BY POLICE 10-19-1978
William Edward "Billy" Hardesty
This case was huge in Ypsilanti, Michigan back in 1978-1981. Though I was living in Ann Arbor at the time, my friends were right in the thick of it. The Look band was playing at Abigail's that night and escaped without harm. One of good friends was a bouncer there but happened to be off work that night (whew). We had friends in the Sheriff's Dept as well. Then in 1981, I was in the jury pool for the Hardesty trial. Wasn't picked due to all my police family members.
Here is what happened:
William Edward "Billy" Hardesty killed seven people and wounded two others in Ypsilanti, Michigan, between October 3 and October 19, 1978. After an hour-long standoff with police, he was shot twice and captured.
On October 3, Hardesty killed his roommate Lawrence Leon Gordon in his home and hung the body from the doorknob. He afterward went to the home of another roommate of his, Willie Dunn, and on October 4 killed him by stabbing and hacking him more than 50 times with a machete. (!)
On the evening of October 18, Hardesty shot and killed his parents, Ronald and Jeannette Hardesty, at their home on Martz Rd in rural Wayne County.
He hid the body of his father in a freezer chest on the porch of the house and waited for his mother to come home. When she did, he killed her with a shot to the head. He even strangled their cat!!
Later that night, he shot and killed Troy Curry and Timothy Schofield outside Abigail's Bar in Ypsilanti. The same night, he went to Stiles-Wood Building, a machine shop in Ypsilanti Township, Washtenaw County, and shot and killed Daniel Wood, the brother of his former wife. He also shot Tommy Lee Brown, a witness to the Wood killing.
He later returned to Stiles-Wood and shot Bobby Joe Baker as he fled after discovering the dead and wounded men at the machine shop.
The following day, on October 19, at about 2 am, Hardesty entered Abigail's (Bimbos) the Ypsilanti bar. (forever known to locals as Stab-igails) bar,
After an altercation inside the bar, Hardesty went into the parking lot, where he killed Troy Curry and Timothy Schofield. At 6 am, he arrived at Therm-o-Fil a tool and die company off Huron River Dr, owned by his ex-father-in-law, where he first shot dead his ex-wife's brother, Daniel Wood, and wounded Tommy Lee Brown.
Hardesty being carried to an ambulance shortly after the shooting.
Hardesty then returned to his parent's home and fired the 22 rifle and a shotgun at State police, Washtenaw County Sheriffs and Van Buren officers who tried to arrest him. After an hour-long siege, Hardesty was shot and wounded in the shoulder and stomach and finally taken into custody.

After 3 years of mental competency hearings, Hardesty was found guilty of four counts of first-degree murder, one count of second-degree murder, and two counts of assault with intent to murder, but mentally ill.
He was sentenced to life terms for the five murders, and terms of 100 to 200 years and 150 to 300 years on the assaults. He is currently incarcerated in Richard A Handlon Correctional Facility in Ionia Michigan.

1973: ROCK AT THE CROSSROADS" NEW ANDREW GRANT JACKSON BOOK!!
Los Angeles, CA – 46 years ago, three trends intersected in one of the most consequential twelve months in rock history. As ‘60s legends released their final masterpieces, radio programmers discovered a new format that led to increased segregation on the airwaves – but on the fringes, underground movements were born that would eventually rejuvenate popular music.
In 1973: Rock at the Crossroads, music historian Andrew Grant Jackson (1965: The Most Revolutionary Year in Music, Still the Greatest: The Essential Songs of The Beatles’ Solo Careers) delivers a captivating account of a defining year for the bestselling artists in music history – the year rock peaked, began to die, and was reborn.
Read excerpts from the book, watch videos, and listen to playlists HERE
It was the last time all the ‘60s heavyweights released blockbuster albums in the same year, many the climactic work of their careers: the former Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, and Elvis Presley.
Meanwhile, a trio of mid-level veterans finally ascended to the pinnacle: David Bowie at the height of Ziggy Stardust mania, Pink Floyd with the fourth best-selling album of all-time Dark Side of the Moon, and Elton John, who topped the album charts for two and a half months. Bob Marley made his American debut.
And a staggering new crop of superstars released their first LPs: Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Queen, Aerosmith, the New York Dolls, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Tom Waits, boasting classics including “Dream On,” “Free Bird,” and “Piano Man.”
With the Vietnam War ending in the spring, and long hair increasingly accepted, white males no longer had a need to rebel. But there were plenty of others with barriers to breakthrough music. Female singer-songwriters like Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon, Dolly Parton, and Stevie Nicks brought a new groundbreaking frankness.
Suzi Quatro, Fanny, and Birtha proved female musicians could rock as hard as men, mirroring the sports triumphs of Billie Jean King and Maria Pepe. Stevie Wonder, the Temptations, and Philadelphia International’s Gamble and Huff led the golden age of protest soul. David Bowie, Lou Reed, Elton John, and Freddie Mercury gave a soundtrack to the gay liberation movement.
In rural America, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristofferson brokered peace between the rednecks and the hippies.
And while the new Album-Oriented Rock radio format increasingly shut out anyone who didn’t fit the mold, under the radar punk, glam metal, indie rock, technopop, disco, reggae, and hip hop began their ascent.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE PURCHASING CBD
Cannabidiol (or CBD) has recently gotten great attention for its beneficial characteristics for health and wellness, the treatment of several physical and mental conditions, as well as skin and hair care, just to name a few. Now that many people want to try it and reap the benefits, the variety of CBD products available on the market reflects the reality of how wide the range really is. In this article, we'll try to provide you with a little guide of what to know before actually making your purchase.
Why You’re Taking It Determines the Form You’re Buying
Studies have shown that CBD can be used to reduce some forms of anxiety, like social anxiety, PTSD, and others. Additionally, just as CBD is used to relax the nerves, it has been shown to promote better sleep at night and wakefulness during the daytime. If chronic anxiety or stress are your challenges, then taking it in the form of tinctures, capsules, and gummies would be a good idea. Tinctures are taken sublingually to provide fast results and are available in a wide range of concentrations. Meanwhile, some prefer using capsules or gummies for an easy-to-measure daily dose with long-lasting effects.
On the other hand, topical applications and CBD oil are considered great options for treating pain and inflammation. While the oil can provide full-body relief, topical products are more specific when applied directly to problem areas.
Know Your CBD Concentration for Proper Dosing
Just like any active ingredients, the higher the concentration, the higher the amount you’ll get per dose, and the faster you’ll feel the cumulative effects. Knowing that it’s common for products to contain anywhere from 200 mg to 1,000 mg of CBD per serving, your label should always state how much CBD is in there for you to be able to arrange for your dose.
Always Check the THC Content (Or Lack Thereof)Tetrahydrocannabinol, more commonly known as THC, is the psychoactive cannabinoid in the cannabis plant; it’s what gets you high.
While both CBD and THC come from the same plant, not everyone who wants to use CBD wants to get high. That said, if CBD oil is processed poorly, or not lab-tested before bottling, it could contain more than 0.03% THC, which is the maximum amount that can exist in legal CBD products. That’s why it’s always good to check that the CBD product you are purchasing clearly states that it contains less than 0.03% THC.
Verify Third-Party Lab Testing
In order to verify CBD and THC levels, as well as the purity of your product, a trusted supplier will provide lab-testing results for the batch of CBD you are purchasing. This is important for people with compromised immune systems, as lab tests usually look for pesticides, bacteria, fungus, heavy metals, foreign matter, and residual solvents.
While CBD can be found in many forms (capsules, drops, gum, vape oil, edibles, beverages, skin lotions, shampoos, and wax), it also comes from many suppliers and brands. The whole process of buying can get overwhelming and confusing, so we hope that this article gave you some guidelines to follow when purchasing your product.

KIMMER AND MOM'S BUS TRIP TO LELAND MICHIGAN 9-21-19
My Mom invited me to go on a day trip to Leland, Michigan with the Westminster Presbyterian church group from Harrisville, Michigan. An 11 hour trip by bus! The folks on the bus played Bus Bingo all the way! I love Bingo so it was a great distraction. Church organizers went all out to make this trip fun for all of us. Thanks so much to the ladies who entertained us all. Special thanks to Linda Knight, her helpers and Faye the Bingo caller!
My Mom Gay Maki-McCormick
Leland, Michigan is located in Leland Township, which provides local government services. It is on M-22, at the mouth of the Leland River (also known as the Carp River) on Lake Michigan.
Leland is the departure point for ferry service to both North and South Manitou Islands. The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is nearby and Traverse City is about 25 miles to the southeast. Leaving Leland, going south on M-22, there is a sign that reads "45th Parallel Halfway Between the Equator and the North Pole."
Mom and pal Sandy Young
The settlement was called Mishi-me-go-bing, meaning "the place where canoes run up into the river to land, because they have no harbor" or alternatively Che-ma-go-bing or Chi-mak-a-ping.
Fishtown is home to a working fishery and a thriving charter fishing business. The riverfront is lined by a boardwalk and quaint shacks that have been converted into tourist shops.
Around 1900, wealthy individuals from Chicago, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and other Midwestern industrial centers began to visit Leland and build summer cottages, arriving by Lake Michigan passenger steamer or by Lake Leelanau steamer from the railhead near Traverse City. This led to the construction of resort hotels, and the growth of Leland as a summer resort.
The Cove restaurant is located above and below the Leland Dam at the head of Leland's Historic Fishtown overlooking beautiful Lake Michigan and the Manitou Islands.
There was a car show going on that day and we saw a cool Amphibious car coming out of Lake Michigan!
Waiting for seafood chowder and taking photos of The Cove
Cha-Cha and her fun sister Ilene were my favorite bus mates on the trip to Leland!
