Now, this mysterious tale filled with narco kingpins, ghetto stars, and Mafiosi will be turned into a motion picture by production company D4E (Dan4Entertainment Inc.), run by Dan Pearson. The Matthews project is repped by the Paradigm Talent Agency and will be based on the book Black Caesar: The Rise and Disappearance of Frank Matthews, Kingpin by author Ron Chepesiuk.

Chicago Outfit mobster Anthony “The Ant” Spilotro continues to fascinate the public. Thanks in large part to Martin Scorsese’s epic movie Casino and Joe Pesci’s portrayal of him, but also due to the gangster’s violent way of doing business. For those interested, you can now live in his former home or anticipate an upcoming film about his life.

Located near Tropicana and McLeod, Tony Spilotro’s 2,400 square foot residence was recently put up for sale and is listed for an asking price of $419,000.

The realtor, Shannon Smith of Realty One, told KSNV News 3 that the place looks pretty much the same as when Spilotro had it constructed in 1974. Read More on Gangsters Inc

GODFATHER AUTHOR MARIO PUZO'S WORK ON DISPLAY AT DARTMOUTH

It was an offer the Dartmouth Library just couldn’t refuse. Diana and Bruce Rauner donated their expansive collection of author Mario Puzo’s papers to Dartmouth. The collection includes draft manuscripts, correspondence, and other records from Puzo’s long career as a novelist and screenwriter—even the 1965 Olympia typewriter on which he likely wrote The Godfather.

“[It’s] an incredibly generous gift that opens up a lot of avenues for research for a lot of people,” Head of Special Collections Jay Satterfield says. “The lasting impact really is one of cultural understanding,” he tells Gangsters Inc. “Through what lens do we see the world of organized crime? And, how do we understand immigrant experiences? Looking at how and why Puzo’s world resonated with the culture at the time, and the lasting effects of that are great topics for research.” read more on
