KNOW THE SCIENCE OF HOW LIFE ON EARTH EVOLVED

Know The Science Of How Life On Earth Evolved

The origin of life on earth is one of the most interesting subjects that are discussed. This topic has been discussed for thousands of years with many theories developing around it. Earth has been around for about 4.5 billion years; this figure was obtained using radiometric dating. In the beginning, it was hard for any form of life to develop under such harsh conditions.

The constant flux of asteroids in earth’s early celestial route made it very hard for any life to be sustained, but these asteroids are believed to be the source which brought life to earth. When the earth was cool enough and water began to form, and after the asteroid bombardment ceased, life became sustainable on earth.

In this article, we’ll be discussing some theories that try to explain how life evolved to this point.

The Oldest Fossil and the Oxidation Effect

The oldest fossil found on earth was in a single cell, dating back 3.5 billion years. Along with single-cell organisms, viruses were also there. The oxidation effect started when oxygen produced from the poisonous waste started being collected at the bottom of the ocean creating iron formations. It is still debatable to this day that it wasn’t oxygen that oxidized the iron, but some kind of bacteria that did it.

Eukaryotes and their Division

Eukaryotes are cells with organs inside, they still were single-cell organisms, the nucleus is the center of the cell where DNA is stored. Eukaryotes started evolving when single cells start merging together under different conditions. Eukaryotes are divided into 3 subdivisions: original plant ancestor, fungi, and animals. This is when they started to evolve independently of each other.

Snowball Earth and Comb Jellies

About 770 million years ago, the earth underwent a freezing process. After this point, ctenophores started splitting away from multicellular organisms, they used the water flow through their bodies to transfer oxygen and nutrients. We don’t have a lot of fossil evidence, though on the split of jellyfish from their ancestor.

Amino Acids

Proteins are made of DNA and RNA since they carry the genetic instructions for its creation. Amino acids were on of the first organic molecules that surface, they evolved over hundreds of millions of years by protein synthesis. This article explains the work of Dr. John Marks in the amino-acid synthesis field.

Knowing these scientific origins can change the way we view the world. Evolution teaches you that some simple interactions between cells can produce a butterfly effect that we call life. Looking from the outside, space, we can see how fragile and small life is, which only makes it more precious.

We may not be sure how exactly our world has come to life, we do have many theories, but no concrete evidence to know for sure. Someday, some humans will be able to know for sure where we came from. These scientific revelations become philosophical and help us understand how the world around us works and how lucky we could be.

PROM DRESSES VS YOUR BODY STRUCTURE

Prom Dresses Vs Your Body Structure
Without knowing the shape of your body, you cannot choose the right dress for your prom night. This will also help you save time when doing your online research for you will narrow down to the body type that corresponds to yours.

There are thousands of dresses out there that you can be in during your special day but your body shape, type, and structure will determine the one you end up with. You need a prom dress that will enhance your entire look without distorting any part of your body. So which is your body type?
Body Types and the Suitable Prom Dress

Triangle
This body type is commonly referred to as pear. Most ladies are going for a workout to achieve this body type where your hips are wider than the bust line. Nevertheless, you don’t have to gym to get the shape before the prom night.

There are cheap prom dresses that can fit you perfectly and enable you to get the look you want your body to take.
The best prom dress that can be fit your triangle body is either a long or a short A-line dress. You can choose various designs on the top like noodle strap, strapless or halter neck to match it perfectly. Any fabric from sheer, tulle to the net can give you the shape you need.

Inverted Triangle
This is somehow the opposite of triangle bodice where your body is broader on the upper but has narrow hips. With this body type, you can use your prom dress to create your own illusionary waist and just forget about your broad shoulders.

Some cheap prom dresses designed like A-line, ball gowns or princess dress can match this body perfectly. You can consider dressing in short with slits dresses to overlook your narrow lowers. Ruffled skirts are great too.

Hourglass
This is perhaps the body structure that every lady dreams to have. In this body type, you have a proportionate body both on the top and bottom. You should come up with a prom dress that will ensure your figure is maintained.

Mermaid dresses are your choice if you got this body structure. Ensure it is sleeveless and has a great sweetheart or V-neckline to spice it up. You can determine whether it will be flowing on the floor or just long.

Rectangle
If your body is not having many curves and it is just proportionate from top to bottom, then you cannot lack a variety of cheap prom dresses all over. The beauty of this body is that you can go with almost every type of dress.

Ball gowns and princess dress can perfectly work for you especially if they have asymmetrical or Deep V necklines. An A-line skirt with some ruffles can also work greatly.

Apple
There are also prom goodies for you if your body is apple-shaped. In this body type, either the upper area or your bust is the main area of focus. When choosing your dress to ensure you take attention away from your waist because it is not perfectly defined.

In this case, avoid short prom dresses and embrace long ones like A-line and ball gown can do you a great favor. Go for necklines like deep V, strapless, halters or illusion sleeves. Now you can add other embellishments and ornaments to look perfect.

No matter the type of your body, you can always have a prom dress to fit you!

KIM LENZ: ROCKABILLY GODDESS RELEASES NEW LP

Rockabilly goddess Kim Lenz has released her new album Slowly Speeding via Blue Star Records. Combining atmospheric production with gothic Americana themes and a renewed emphasis on lyricism, Slowly Speeding represents a compelling new direction for the LA-based songwriter and bandleader. Slowly Speeding is available for purchase here.

Rolling Stone Country recently spotlighted the title track "Slowly Speeding," calling it "a smoldering torch song that’s built as much for the lounge as the juke joint." Lenz was subsequently featured as Lenz was featured as one of their "10 New Country Artists You Need to Know." The video for "Slowly Speeding" first premiered with Taste of Country who writes, "The L.A.-based singer-songwriter practically invents a whole new genre with her new song..." Lenz followed this with the haunting, animated video for her song "Pine Me", which premiered on Billboard.

Watch: Kim Lenz - "Pine Me"

Lenz is a songwriter, performer, bandleader, engineer and producer who pores over every nuance of her music to ensure maximum potency. The ten songs on Slowly Speeding brim with growling vocals, clever turns of phrase and heightened musicianship that services both the songs and the emotional intent behind them.

Lenz released her debut album in 1998 as Kim Lenz & the Jaguars, via Hightone Records. Heralded as the “Flame-haired keeper of the rockabilly flame” by Allmusic, Lenz reached the highest heights of the 90’s rockabilly revival.

At the same time, she established her own distinctive voice as an artist who inhabited the musical and aesthetic traditions of a classic era, even as she subverted them. At the same time, she populated her band with top-notch players like bassist Jake Erwin (Hot Club of Cowtown) and the late guitarist Nick Curran (Ronnie Dawson, Fabulous Thunderbirds).

For Slowly Speeding, Lenz pulled the most essential elements of the past forward into the present and gave her own voice to it. Lenz's sonic vision for the project was to combine her favorite tones from her most-treasured records, regardless of genre or era, and co-producer DH Phillips was the perfect partner in crime.

They looked to early blues, classic country, and old-time gospel harmonies. ”The idea was to try to use all the ingredients that made up rock & roll, but shift around the time frames,” she offers. “I started out in the '90s making traditional rockabilly music,” she continues. “But in my journey to understand how rockabilly and rock & roll came into being, I found blues, rhythm & blues, gospel, Western swing, and country music.”

Lenz will bring her trademark style on the road, with select dates across the U.S. Full tour dates are at www.kimlenz.com.

WHY PLAYING BINGO ONLINE IS SO POPULAR

Sometimes, we are all a little bit pressured with the everyday tasks that we may have to release all the stress that we have built up. Others might be bored if they need to do something that will kill their time. There are many activities that we can do to take our mind off of things, or if your case is the latter, it could be because you want to keep yourself busy.

Playing games is one of them. Whether it be board games, card games, or ball games; each of them serves as entertainment to people. Others opt to gamble. They like the thrill it gives as well as the adrenaline that they feel upon winning.

However, doing that comes with some challenges. The first one is, for busy people, they just don’t have the time. Let’s take going to casinos as an example. The travel time alone takes a portion of their day. Then there's this waiting period that they will have to endure when the casino of their choice is overcrowded.

The last and probably the most common reason for people, busy and not busy alike, have for not being able to treat themselves with this kind of past time is the high cost.

Nowadays, everything is so costly that spending money on activities like playing in the casino or betting on card games is just not an option. However, do you know that you can relax or kill time without taking up too much of your time and spending too much money?

Online Bingo has been around for quite a while now. This year, it has become particularly popular. Let’s break down the reasons why people take to this fad.

It’s inexpensive

Losing money is always one of the downsides of gambling. For some people, they gamble out of desperation. However, for others, they just simply want to be entertained. Online Bingo lets you have all the fun of playing Bingo without spending too much or at all. You can download it on your phone or tablet or play it on your laptop or desktop computer.

Downloading it usually doesn’t require any fees. All you will need to do is register. Then, when you get to the game proper, you will only have to use chips given by the game itself to bet. These chips will serve as your money. There is really no need to buy them because for some online bingo games or apps, even when you run out of chips, you can still get some the next day. There might be options to buy them, but that will be totally up to the player.

It’s more accessible.

As stated earlier, going to casinos is really time-consuming. Playing there every day is a challenge. Online Bingo brings the game closer to you wherever you are. All you will need is a phone, tablet, computer, internet connection, and you are good to go! What if I don’t have an internet connection? There is no need to fret yet. Some Bingo apps do not actually require an internet connection.

It’s entertaining.

Some people only gamble on games like Bingo because it’s fun. They are not after the winnings. If you’re one of those people, then online Bingo is just right for you. Playing this can take up to three hours for average people. People can say that it’s more than enough time to relieve stress or to be entertained. If you still want to play for more than three hours because you are just having so much fun, which you will, then you are allowed to do so.

It’s friendly.

Players often get so fixated on the game that it is quite a challenge to socialize.  Especially with games like Bingo, you cannot really chat with the person beside you animatedly because you will need to concentrate on the numbers popping, not to mention, the people beside you will have to concentrate on their cards, too,.

Hence, it decreases the chances of actually socializing and having fun. With online bingo, you can do so. Other online players will be available to chat with. The pressure of the game isn’t as much as deeply felt as when you’re playing Bingo with money on the table. This gives you the luxury to just enjoy the game and talk about it with other players.

These are the reasons why online bingo is such a hit this 2019. If you feel like you are ready to be a part of the online bingo community, click this website to join.

GANGSTERS INC INTERVIEW DRUG KINGPIN FRANK MATTHEWS!

GANGSTERS INC
Drug boss Frank Matthews came up like a rocket. His organization made hundreds of millions from drug trafficking, billions in today’s currency. When authorities closed in, he jumped bail in 1973 and vanished with his girlfriend and $20 million. He remains a wanted man. “He disappeared off the face of the earth. No photos. No snitches. No fingerprints. Nothing!”

Now, this mysterious tale filled with narco kingpins, ghetto stars, and Mafiosi will be turned into a motion picture by production company D4E (Dan4Entertainment Inc.), run by Dan Pearson. The Matthews project is repped by the Paradigm Talent Agency and will be based on the book Black Caesar: The Rise and Disappearance of Frank Matthews, Kingpin by author Ron Chepesiuk.

Gangsters Inc. sat down with both men to discuss the project and the life of kingpin Frank Matthews.

SAMSUNG GALAXY 10 AND GALAXY FOLD PHONES: OUT OF THIS WORLD

Samsung just unleashed arguably the most impressive array of new mobile devices and worlds-first mobile technologies in the short history of the smartphone. The latest lineup of Galaxy smartphones includes the S10, S10+, S10e, S10 5G and Fold.

The Galaxy Fold is the real stand-out: it’s the world's first seamless foldable phone. This 4.6-inch phone opens like a book to present a single 7.3-inch tablet display.

The new Galaxy 10 models are innovative as well, with new display technologies that reach almost edge to edge, new cameras and built-in wireless charging. Not only do the phones charge wirelessly, but they can also charge other devices.

Look and feel
Physically, Fold is twice as thick as a standard smartphone with a hidden hinge that Samsung says has been tested to withstand thousands of folds. From normal viewing distance there doesn't seem to be a discernible seam in the middle – it looks just like an ordinary (albeit bulky) smartphone. The Fold will come in four colors: Cosmic Black, Space Silver, Martian Green and Astro Blue, with customizable hinge coloring.

The Fold has even more cameras
Fold also is equipped with six cameras. You’ll find a triple-lens array on the back, similar to the Galaxy S10 and S10+ with a single front-facing selfie camera and an additional two cameras in tablet mode.

Security
Fold’s fancy foldable screen means it skips the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for a more conventional side fingerprint reader. It’s not as advanced as what you’ll find on most S10 models, but it’s tried and true.

Performance
Inside, Fold gets its smarts from a next-gen 7nm processor, its equipped with a massive 12GM of RAM to run the dual single-screen and tablet apps, with 512GB of onboard storage to keep your files. It's powered by twin batteries, one on each side that works in concert — but we don’t know the batteries' capacity or life. No matter what the size of the batteries, battery life will likely vary widely depending on how often you use the larger, power-sucking tablet screen.

THE WIZARD OF OZ BOOKS TO BE DEVELOPED FOR TV SERIES!

We are so excited to see this new series. Hopefully, it will be much more accurate than "Emerald City".

Variety/Den of Geek
Legendary Entertainment is developing a TV series set in the Land of Oz from the novels by L. Frank Baum, Variety has learned exclusively.
The untitled series hails from Ed Ricourt, who will write and produce. The series will examine stories and characters in Oz that haven’t been previously explored.

When the return of a long-exiled Witch brings fear, division and war to Oz, the only hope is a servant girl who may become the most powerful and dangerous woman in the land.

Dmitri M. Johnson & Stephan Bugaj of dj2 Entertainment will executive produce. Legendary is said to be near a deal for a director on the project.
“I’m thrilled to partner with Legendary TV and dj2 to adapt my take on Baum’s rich, complex OZ book series which has influenced me creatively since childhood,” said Ricourt.

Ricourt previously co-wrote the story and screenplay for the hit 2013 film “Now You See Me,” with the sequel premiering in 2016. His other credits include “Wayward Pines” and “Jessica Jones.” His feature script, “Year 12,” was featured on the 2009 Black List. Ricourt is also a writer and producer on the upcoming Netflix series “Raising Dion” and worked on the upcoming reboot of “The Twilight Zone” at CBS All Access.

NERDIST L. Frank Baum wrote fourteen novels set in the land of Oz, starting with the most well known in 1900, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, which was meant to be a one-off. But its tremendous success lead to another thirteen books written by Baum.

The original sequel books, which had some very wild and imaginative ideas and beautiful illustrations, have never been adapted properly, with most post-1939 Wizard of Oz adaptations picking and choosing parts from the various sequels. With Wicked coming to movie theaters in 2021, it seems we are in for a big Oz revival, and hopefully, fans of the original books will see some of their favorite elements from the classic novels adapted for the very first time.

MOTOWN'S MARVIN GAYE HONORED WITH POSTAL STAMP APRIL 2

Back in November, the United States Postal Service announced entertainment icons Marvin Gaye and Gregory Hines as part of its latest Music Icons and Black Heritage Stamp series respectively.

While the Hines commemorative stamp was issued on January 28, the stamp dedicated to the "Prince of Soul" is set to be released on Gaye's birthday, April 2. In the meantime, the U.S. Postal Service shared an actual photo of the stamp with the caption:

"We’re honoring the life, legend, and sound of Marvin Gaye (1939 - 1984) with the newest stamp in our Music Icons series. Pictured here in front of Washington D.C.’s @howardtheatre, where he graced the stage, our stamp features a portrait of Gaye inspired by historic photographs."

MONKEE: PETER TORK DIED TODAY

YAHOO NEWS Peter Tork, the endearingly goofy musician and actor who came to fame in the 1960s as a member of the Zeitgeist-capturing television rock band the Monkees, has passed away at age 77. While no cause of death has yet been confirmed, Tork was diagnosed with a rare form of tongue cancer, adenoid cystic carcinoma, in 2009.

The Monkees were often unfairly dismissed as a “Prefab Four” TV creation or boy band, and the creators of The Monkees series did not allow the group to play to play on their first two albums. But Tork, who often played the dopey buffoon on the show, actually came to The Monkees with a serious musical background.

Born Peter Halsten Thorkelson in Washington, D.C., on Feb. 13, 1942, he started studying piano at age 9, eventually learning to play the guitar, bass and banjo, and he studied French horn at Carleton College in Minnesota before moving to New York City.

There, he fell in with the bustling Greenwich Village folk music scene, hanging and playing with other rising musicians, like Stephen Stills. It was Stills, who had unsuccessfully auditioned for a new musical sitcom called The Monkees, who recommended Tork to the show’s producers in 1965. The rest is Monkee history. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and fans around the world.

PLAYING GAMES ONLINE NEEDS NO DRESS CODE

Unless you live in Las Vegas, a casino is not a place you spend a lot of time. When you finally decide to spend a night gambling, you might find it difficult to think of the perfect outfit to wear on casino night. Should you go with a retro look? A casual one, or a relaxed one? Well, to make things a bit easier for you here is a short guide on the dos and don'ts of dressing up for a night of gambling.

This one is the easiest: if your idea of fun is to play casino games, you can simply seek out an online casino.

Online gamblers don't need to consider a dress code - in fact, it comes to your home, bringing a massive collection of great games with it.  Here are the best casino sites compared.

You can play at the All Jackpots casino wearing slippers, yoga pants, worn-down sweatshirts, or whatever else you might find comfortable. All it cares about is to bring the fun to you.

Online Gaming has all the games you may hope to find in a Vegas casino, maybe even more. Its software safeguards your privacy better than any casino security in Vegas. Besides, staying home saves you the trouble of driving, finding a parking place, possibly even lodging, and dining for the night.

Mind the dress code

The dress code required by a casino depends largely on what kind of audience it wants to attract. As a general rule, you are expected not to show up in sweatpants and printed t-shirts, and shorts & sandals are also out of the question. Depending on the profile of the casino you plan to visit, men can usually make do with a pair of jeans, a shirt (or plain t-shirt) and a comfy jacket, while women can make do with any dressy outfit.

General "don'ts"

Here is a list of don'ts from an average Casino in Vegas:
  • Dirty, ripped, torn or soiled clothing
  • Work uniforms
  • Clothing bearing offensive slogans and/or pictures
  • Face paint or disguises
  • Dirty, worn or damaged footwear, UGG boots, Crocs, rubber beach thongs and open-toed shoes (for men)
  • Active sportswear including gym-wear, training shirts, beachwear or swimsuits
  • Men's tank tops or t-shirts
  • Steel toed boots/work boots
  • Hats or caps, except for medical reasons
  • Shorts (for men)
  • Any other clothing deemed not to be neat, tidy or appropriate
On special occasions, or to access certain facilities inside the casino, you're usually required to adhere to a much more specific dress code. Make sure to check with the casino before you go, to avoid unpleasant surprises.

KNIGHT OF CUPS: EMOTIONS AND BEAUTY

The Court Cards represent significant people who enter your life. The Knight of Cups is the young restless traveler who brings change into your life and might leave after the change is initiated.

The Court card personalities are complex because they are two-sided and can go from positive to negative in a flash. Highly intellectual, they feel that they're always right. They may be flirty, sarcastic, impatient, flighty, secretively spiteful, romantic, or shockingly independent.

The Cups represent your personal outlook on your emotions and your tendency to think with your heart rather than with your head. This includes the connection to love, friendships and relationships, which exert such a strong pull on your decisions.
