THE EMPRESS: VIBRANT BEAUTY
The Empress card affirms that my alter ego today is a Domestic Diva, whose superpower is to conceive, nurture or create potential by labors of love. I'm mother to natural conditions, ideals or invention and when I hold court, I please or preserve by need or design, depending on my mood or hunger. I liberate dramatic results to inspire devotion, or make them over according to my own story.
Today then, I shall indulge the pleasure and luxurious comfort of some romantic repose or pamper a delicious obsession with room to enhance my standard or vision of beauty. I set aside trends or time to exhibit style and charm assigned by heartfelt passion or wild fantasy, but in true multi-task fashion, I also support the progress of other fertile interests now poised for payoff beyond reproach, so don't cross me in my enchanted garden or I'll let you have it -- that's a promise.

DAVID LETTERMAN LEAVING HIS SHOW IN 2015
David Letterman just announced that he is leaving his show in 2015. That will bring a long late night career to a close. I have been a fan of Dave's since the beginning when he was on day time TV and guest hosted a lot for Johnny Carson. I loved Dave's bad boy persona and blunt snarky personality. He gave the brass at NBC nightmares and ulcers...not very charming with the honchos at CBS either....LOL
When Johnny Carson retired, NBC opted to replace Carson with Jay Leno instead of Dave. That set off a whirl wind of drama from both sides. They even wrote a book The Late Shift and then made a movie about the battle for the Tonight Show.
"I just want to reiterate my thanks for the support from the network, all of the people who have worked here, all of the people in the theater, all the people on the staff, everybody at home, thank you very much. What this means now, is that Paul and I can be married."
IT came close but Dave landed on CBS and has remained there for many years. He has survived a major stalker, womanizing dramas and then a major heart procedure. Dave is a tough cookie...not real popular with his staff as he is rather cool..but Dave set trends and made his own mark on Late Night Television...His style will be remembered..much more than his competitors...See ya Dave....thanks dude!
David Letterman has announced his retirement.
The gap-toothed comic, a favorite of Johnny Carson, will hang up his Top Ten list and Stupid Pet Tricks in 2015, he shared with the audience at the taping of tonight’s “Late Show.”
Letterman said his first call was to CBS chief, Les Moonves. FULL STORY HERE
♥ HAPPY 90TH BIRTHDAY TO DORIS DAY! ♥
We just adore Doris Day..her beautiful singing, her movies, her television shows are all my favorites. My favorite of Doris Day's movies is LOVE ME OR LEAVE ME She was so good in Midnight Lace too! She could be coy and hot too.. She is legend in my life...
'I've had an amazing life': Movie icon Doris Day reflects on the last 90 years as she celebrates her milestone birthday
Doris Day (born Doris Mary Ann Kappelhoff; April 3, 1922) began her career as a big band singer in 1939. Her popularity began to rise after her first hit recording, "Sentimental Journey", in 1945.
After leaving Les Brown & His Band of Renown to try a solo career, she started her long-lasting partnership with Columbia Records, which would remain her only recording label.
The contract lasted from 1947 to 1967, and included more than 650 recordings, making Day one of the most popular and acclaimed singers of the 20th century. In 1948, after being persuaded by Sammy Cahn, Jule Styne and her agent at the time, Al Levy, she auditioned for Michael Curtiz, which led to her being cast in the female lead role in Romance on the High Seas.
Over the course of her career, Day appeared in 39 films. She was ranked the biggest box-office star, the only woman on that list, for four years (1960, 1962, 1963 and 1964) ranking in the top 10 for ten years (1951–1952 and 1959–1966).
She became the top-ranking female box-office star of all time and is currently ranked sixth among the top 10 box office performers (male and female), as of 2012.
She received an Academy Award nomination for her performance in Pillow Talk, won three Henrietta Awards (World Film Favorite), received the Los Angeles Film Critics Association's Career Achievement Award and, in 1989, received the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement in motion pictures. Day made her last film in 1968.
Day has released 31 albums, and her songs have spent a total of 460 weeks in the Top 40 charts. She has been awarded a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and a Legend Award from the Society of Singers.
In 2011, she released her 29th studio album, My Heart, which debuted at No. 9 on the UK Top 40 charts. As of January 2014, Day is the oldest living artist to score a UK Top 10 with an album featuring new material.
Her strong commitment to animal welfare began in 1971, when she co-founded "Actors and Others for Animals". She started her own non-profit organization in the late 1970s, the Doris Day Animal Foundation and, later, the Doris Day Animal League.
Establishing the annual observance Spay Day USA in 1994, The Doris Day Animal League now partners with the Humane Society of the United States and continues to be a leading advocacy organization. In 2004, she received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President George W. Bush in recognition of her distinguished service to the country.
Day is retired from acting and performing, but has continued her work in animal rights causes and animal welfare. She currently lives in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.

THE FAB FAUX PERFORM REVOLVER MICHIGAN THEATER SATURDAY APRIL 5!
Cannot wait to see this show! The Fab Faux will be performing The Beatles' Revolver this Saturday at the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor! The musicians go all out to perform the legendary music of The Beatles and we are so excited to hear them!
Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 8 pm.
Following their three successes in 2011, 12 and 13, The Fab Faux will return to the Michigan Theater! This time they will perform the Beatles’ album, Revolver, in its entirety. The concert will include the rockers, the ballads, and everything in between.
The group includes outstanding New York studio musicians – and lifelong Beatles fans - Will Lee (bassist in David Letterman’s band), Jimmy Vivino (guitarist and music director of Conan O’Brien’s band), drummer/producer Rich Pagano, guitarist Frank Agnello and ace keyboardist Jack Petruzzelli.
With a commitment to the accurate reproduction of The Beatles’ repertoire, The Fab Faux treat the seminal music with unwavering respect, and are known for their painstaking recreations of the songs (with emphasis on the later works never performed live by the Beatles). Far beyond a cover band, they play the music of The Beatles so impeccably that one must experience it to believe it.
Imagine hearing complex material like “Strawberry Fields Forever” or “I Am the Walrus” performed in complete part-perfect renditions; or such harmony-driven songs as “Because”, “Nowhere Man”, and “Paperback Writer”, reproduced not only note-for-note, but with extra vocalists to achieve a double-tracked effect.
Reserved seats are $29.50-$65 with limited Gold Circle and VIP seating available. VIP Tickets also include a post-concert Meet & Greet with the band.
Tickets are available at ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster locations. Charge by phone at 800-745-3000.
