GRACE SLICK AND HER WHITE RABBITS

At 72, Grace is totally committed to her painting. Usually starting around 4 a.m. she draws and paints continuously throughout the day. This is truly her passion these days.
Although she no longer travels the Country to attend exhibits, she continues to discuss and promote her artwork with an international audience.

With the exception of a few Los Angeles area appearances, Grace spends her time at her beautiful home over looking the Pacific Ocean and paints the visions of a lifetime. Grace is very happy in this continuation of her trip through California Wonderland.

OBITUARY AND FUNERAL
INFORMATION FOR RICK

Sad news today, we lost another loving Detroit soul...Guitarist Rick Stel fought a brave battle against cancer...He was so good and his music was compelling. I remember the first time I saw him play it was in Ann Arbor with Jim McCarty's Mystery Train. I was there to film Jimmy but my camera kept pulling me to the left where Rick was playing.

He was magical to watch..he really was...our prayers are with his family and friends.....he was beautiful ❤️

The members of ROMERO are absolutely ecstatic over the successful funding of the new film, The Smart Studios Story, about the famous midwest studio owned by Nirvana / Foo Fighters producer and Garbage drummer, Butch Vig. 3/4 of the members of Romero have recorded in the studio over the years, so they pulled no punches in supporting the film. In a flurry of social media posts and email blasts, the last hour of the Kickstarter campaign was very intense, to say the least.

ROMERO guitarist / vocalist, Jeffrey Mundt, and bassist, Patrick Hotlen recorded with Smart Studios as far back as the early 1990's, when they were cutting their teeth in the local, Madison, WI punk scene. "I remember Wendy (the film's director & Smart engineer) running around helping Doug (Duke) Erikson (Garbage guitarist) set up for our session. In the downstairs studio, sounds from the Nine Inch Nails recording were randomly shooting out of the speakers." Mundt also worked with Erickson at Smart and remembers, very fondly, the impact the studio had; "All of the famous rockstar stuff aside, Smart Studios really allowed us to start sharing or music with the world." ROMERO organ player, Tim Consequence, was luckily able to do a session at the studio shortly before it closed in 2010.

ROMERO "Take The Potion" full length Album available for FREE DOWNLOAD!  The 7 song / 42 minute album is available for download in multiple formats and includes a digital booklet w/ original artwork & lyrics.  The band completed a successful Kickstarter campaign to fund the vinyl release of the album.  The "Take The Potion" LP has been pressed on 3 different colors of Deluxe 150g vinyl.

The Smart Studios Story, by Wendy Schneider, a feature length documentary about the legendary recording facility, Smart Studios, and the Midwest link to American rock history. If you've ever been touched by the music of Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage, L7, Killdozer, Die Kreuzen, Tar Babies, Against Me!, Death Cab For Cutie, etc. you've been touched by the music created at Smart Studios, the legendary Midwestern recording facility owned by Butch Vig and Steve Marker.

The music and the scene all collided in a two-story brick building sitting virtually unnoticed on the east side of Madison, WI. More information on the film can be found at http://www.smartstudiosdocumentary.com/

8 OF WANDS: MAKE YOUR MOVE

The Eight of Wands card suggests that my power today lies in climax. It has all led up to this moment of anticipation and "there ain't no stopping it now." I have thrown my "hat" in and given it my best shot and have just as good a chance as any -- but the outcome is still up in the air. I am ready to accept what lands, sticks, misses, or hits the fan. "When it rains, it pours." I am empowered by the potential payoff in this direction and I transform through timing or focus under fire.
