FULL MOON NAMES

The early Native Americans did not record time by using the months of the Julian or Gregorian calendar. Many tribes kept track of time by observing the seasons and lunar months, although there was much variability. For some tribes, the year contained 4 seasons and started at a certain season, such as spring or fall. Others counted 5 seasons to a year. Some tribes defined a year as 12 Moons, while others assigned it 13. Certain tribes that used the lunar calendar added an extra Moon every few years, to keep it in sync with the seasons.

Actors Holt McCallany (Bill Tench) and Jonathan Groff  (Holden Ford)

In the late 1970s two FBI agents expand criminal science by delving into the psychology of murder and getting uneasily close to all-too-real monsters.

I streamed this series in one night...it is so good. The first episode gets off to a bit of a slow start. Episode 2 takes off and you are there right to the amazing cliff hanger last episode. Cannot wait for Season 2!

John Douglas

John Douglas the famous FBI Special Agent was one of the first criminal profilers and has written books on criminal psychology helped write all 11 episodes. that would explain why this series is so accurate and captivating.

Here is the official press release from Glass Onyon below:

The Deacon Of Rock Bites Back!

“Before The Lights Go Out” is long time Alice Cooper/Lou Reed Guitarist Steve Hunter’s latest solo album. The cover art and title make a statement about his failing eyesight, but don’t make the mistake of thinking this is a quiet wave goodbye. As soon as you put on the first track, you will know that this is more like a Blues Rock Declaration of Independence! There are sexy grooves, luscious guitar tones and melodies galore.

As with all Hunter’s releases, there is some diversity and sound imagery, not least of which is Tienes Mi Corazón where alongside his nylon string improvisation comes the sound of his own heart. And listen out for Joe Satriani adding his fire to the heat of “Mojo Man.”

Also joining Steve on a couple of tracks are two great Bass players: Erik Scott can be heard on “Mojo Man,” Erik is also an Alice Cooper alumni. On “Under The Bodhi Tree” is Andy Stoller. Steve and Andy toured together with Tracy Chapman during the “Telling Stories” album period, most recently Andy has been touring with Ann Wilson of Heart.

Says Steve, “This album was a real joy for me on many levels. A big part of the inspiration and motivation that kept me going; was from all the people out there who had faith in me and encouraged me through the entire process with their donations and comments. It was really a wonderful experience having you all be a part of it. It’s my deepest hope and desire that you all enjoy the music on this album as much as I enjoyed making it. Thank you and God bless!”

Steve Hunter is his own man; he has been around the block with a forty-five year career.

From his 1973 solos on Alice Cooper’s “Billion Dollar Babies” album, his legendary acoustic work on Peter Gabriel’s “Solsbury Hill,” his “Intro” to Lou Reed’s “Sweet Jane” and his searing opening solos on Aerosmith’s version of “Train Kept A Rolling” Most recently he can be heard on Alice Cooper’s 2017 album “Paranormal” making this his ninth Cooper album appearance. The Deacon is not done yet but his life is evolving! He has challenges playing live now but his honed skill, tone, power and soul, is dished up on this hot plate of guitar driven instrumental tastiness.

HAUNTED BATTLEFIELDS AROUND THE WORLD

We are sharing a cool article from Llewellyn Worldwide for a month of Halloween themed posts

There's something about taking your last gasp of life while gunning for your fellow man that has produced thousands of haunted battlefields all across this planet. There are more than 160 instances of this just in the United States alone. But what about the rest of the world? Do they also have these haunted locations steeped in dark history? The answer is a resounding yes! Rich Newman, author of Ghosts of the Civil War, explores this phenomena. Read More Here

THE MAGICIAN: SKILL LOGIC AND INTELLECT

Everything is possible today. The Magician's bag of tricks contains creative tools which shows that you have the ability to not only conjure up brilliant ideas but you also have what it takes to implement them. Don't be afraid to try new things, especially concerning communication or shared finances. Focus your energy on the task at hand to ensure the best possible results.

The Magician is associated with the planet, Mercury and carries with it skill, logic, and intellect. The number of the Magician is one, the number of beginnings. The Magician is the bridge between the world of the spirit and the world of humanity. His right hand holds a staff raised toward the sky and his left hand points to the earth. He takes the power of the Universe and channels it through his own body and directs it to the physical plane. Above the Magician’s head is the symbol of eternity and around his waist is a snake biting its own tail, another symbol of eternity.
