THE 4 OF WANDS

The Four of Wands card suggests that my power today lies in bonding. I celebrate our common connection, success, or attraction and recognize the equal status, protection, or reputation that results in the formation of this union is merely the beginning or negotiation of something new. I am empowered by positive results within the partnership and I transform through teamwork or marriage.

BILLION DOLLAR BABIES ON HYBRID SACD FEB 4!

For Immediate Release

Audio Fidelity To Release Classic Alice Cooper Album 'Billion Dollar Babies' On Hybrid SACD On February 4, 2014!

“...one of the best rock 'n' roll records of all time!”

Camarillo, CA - Alice Cooper fans worldwide rejoice! Marshall Blonstein's Audio Fidelity is releasing Alice Cooper's classic album 'Billion Dollar Babies' on Hybrid SACD on February 4, 2014! As a bonus, along with the meticulously reproduced artwork, enclosed in every CD is the very collectible replicated 'Billion Dollar Bill'.

With 'Billion Dollar Babies', Alice Cooper refined the raw grit of their earlier work in favor of a slightly more polished sound resulting in a mega-hit album that reached the top of the US and UK album charts. It’s impossible to overstate how popular the band had become by the time their sixth album was released. The album, is brilliant, decadent and encapsulated all the celebrity trashiness of the 70's only three years into the decade.

Song for song, 'Billion Dollar Babies' is probably the original Alice Cooper group's finest and strongest. The album's singles “Elected”, “Hello Hooray”, “Billion Dollar Babies”,and “No More Mr. Nice Guy” all became hits on the Billboard Hot 100. Also included are a pair of perennial concert standards - the disturbing necrophilia ditty “I Love the Dead” and the chilling macabre of “Sick Things”.

After the album was released, the band embarked on a tour which broke the US box office records previously held by the Rolling Stones. The show climaxed with a guillotine execution of Alice. The album and the tour made the band into the world's preeminent pied pipers of teenage trash culture and the most successful rock band ever to be loathed by American parents.

“Other than the original 'Alice Cooper Band' being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2011, our second biggest achievement was when our album 'Billion Dollar Babies' went to Number #1 in all three music trade magazines at the same time in April of 1973. Number #1 in Billboard, Number #1 in Record World and Number #1 in Cash Box. We had hoped it would sell Gold or Platinum as a follow up to the success of our album 'School’s Out', but a Number #1 album was something that was totally unexpected. Over the years the title track “Billion Dollar Babies” has become my signature song because of the recognizable drum intro.” - Neal Smith, Alice Cooper drummer and founding member

“I remember we were out on the road when the album finally came out in February 1973. I listened to it in my hotel room and just got this really big smile. I was thinking, 'It's amazing, we're really pulling this off'. The album was very, very unique and very, very different. I was really proud of the songs, especially 'No More Mr Nice Guy', 'Billion Dollar Babies' and 'Generation Landslide'.” - Michael Bruce, Alice Cooper guitarist/keyboardist and founding member

DENIZ TEK'S WEB PAGE HAS A HOT NEW LOOK!!

Deniz Tek has one of the longest lists of accomplishments of any person in history...He is a legendary guitarist , former Navy Flight Surgeon, Painter, Writer, Sculptor, and a DAD...So his girl, the fabulous photographer and designer Anne Laurent had her hands full doing a massive makeover on Deniz's old web page.Anne did a most AMAZING job on this site! I know how difficult this page remake had to be...

The old page had this huge shot of Deniz wearing his Navy flight helmet...you couldn't see his face! There may be a lot of stars who a covered face would be a blessing but NOT DENIZ TEK....LOL

Deniz is movie star handsome and to me...there should 600 photos of him on there! Yes yes.. he is a beautiful guy to view and is a lovely man in real life as well...

Retro Kimmer

Deniz's new page is really clean and mean! The Top menu is really great! Those are so hard to create and Anne did a spectacular job organizing his life into 10 buttons. Some people can barely fill 3 buttons but Deniz needs 20!

Everything about Deniz's various careers is linked from one easy to navigate page. Before he had his different works spread across many pages.

Deniz's Band Histories could be 5 pages ALONE!

I'll bet a lot of you fans didn't know just what a fabulous artist Deniz Tek is as well (when does he have TIME??)...Anne put a sweet section on his painting here.....

The hardest part of doing a website for a famous musician is their DISCOGRAPHY...and with Deniz's long list of music, Anne had her work cut out for her! There is a great Gallery too of photos and videos...I spent a long time in there! There are great Facebook share buttons and by all means you can pin the images on Pinterest!

Deniz and Anne

Anne Laurent has done an amazing job capturing Deniz Tek's attitude and personality through graphic design and photography. I know just how hard it is to capture the coolest look for these rock guys...They need to look a certain way, and tough is better than sweet....sometimes....XK

Good JOB Anne Laurent and LUCKY GUY is DENIZ TEK

THE LOVERS

The Lovers card affirms my alter ego is a port key to a Soul Mate or deal, whose superpower is compatibility in the midst of reconciling dichotomy to interconnect as a whole new entity or 'color.' To be or not to be: at ultimatum or rival tensions mounting, negotiating acceptable trade-offs validates our unique perspectives to reflect what each lacks for a balanced voice of truce.

When we're together I'm beside myself, so I concede mutual vested interest, incentive or opportunity to my other half for valued consideration. For only by the power of self-respect in reciprocal vulnerability, need and compassion do 'me and thee consummate we.'

The rest is all a dance on the sidelines of Cinderella Pandering or prohibition, or around a Bermuda Triangle of bottom line temptation to cheat by provocation, promiscuity, or shame. But here at the gate of impasse, I still have a choice and my pride.

HENRY FORD AND THE DAHLINGERS: GUEST POST BY LINCOLN DESIGNER

I started at Ford Motor Company in 1955, quickly delved into the company history and the Ford family history.. In 1956 my wife and I bought a home equidistant between the Dahlinger estate, and John and Barbara Dahlinger's home.

In 1958 I was in a car wash in Dearborn and admired a light blue '58 Continental At that time I was designing the 1961 Lincoln. The owner a vivacious blue eyed blond introduced her self as the owner, and although I was to naive to know better she came on to me. She was Barbara Dahlinger, the car wash owner told me after she drove away, as he asked what she saw in me. Years past and I met John and he kindly autographed his book for me.

  Edsel Ford

Because there was a large portrait of Edsel in our building I immediately noted the similarity of John to Edsel. It was about then that I learned my son and buddies would play on the Dahlinger. estate until Mrs. Dahlinger would roar up in a Jeep with a shot gun on her lap and run them off. Dearborn was a small town, with a large percentage of Ford employees and it was common knowledge about Henry and Evangeline.

While working at Ford I soon learned that four co-workers attended the Village schools in Greenfield Village with John Dahlinger. One of whom is still alive, and they all knew that John Dahlinger was Henry Ford I's illegitimate son...

It was about 1958, and on one Sunday morning a guard at Fairlane called me and said, "if you come over in about 15 minutes I'll give you a tour of Fairlane" . I was on my way as it was only a mile away.

  Fairlane

What a tour that was, just the guard and myself. He even showed me Henry's boat house that housed Henry's electric skiff that he would use to go the half a mile up the Rouge River to see Evangeline.

The Dahlinger mansion had a ground level door on the South side, which opened to a stairway that led directly to Evangeline's bedroom. Interesting!
