There’s been lots of news lately about the rapidly declining quality of life in Detroit, a once-booming industrial city that is now almost completely abandoned.

Bored of ruin porn. I wish the media and artists could focus on the vision of rebirth instead of the easy out of decay. No talent needed for entropy . Look in any direction to witness that. But create something new? That is true vision.
I like the new groups that are converting vacant lots into gardens and I am working with different groups to help develop music events on a larger scale. Detroit's most valuable assets are it's residents and it's music.
Yes. Very cool, very positive. Art transforms. Great musical roots in this town.
I wish I had been born early enough to have seen the city in it's prime. I o have great memories of Olympia and of course Hudson's at Christmas time. I worked at Cobo for a very long time and it is very close to my heart still.
What a shame!
