VICTORY: A VISION OF HEALING ON COAST TO COAST ART TOUR

Victory is the artistic expression of Steve Farland’s vision to spread healing. With Master Builder/Artist Brian Sartor, the soldiers were brought to life limb by limb, foot by foot.

7 Artistic Sculptures crafted from various chair parts and up to 27 feet tall!

Broken Pieces, Victory. is a vision of humanity where all the people fit and the smallest pieces are as important as the large ones, Una faccia, Una Razza -One Face, One Race.

There is only us here on earth and we need each other and art and love are the most valuable commodities. Pieces for Peace !

Here are some pictures from the Artexpo NYC 18 and ArtSanDiego where I put out corner blocks which are used for strengthening the chair legs and are the smallest part of a chair and asked people to write a message to humanity and place them on the sculpture called Humanity where it is reaching out to the Creator. Steve Farland

VICTORY

In its second breath of life, Steve and Brian now take " Victory" on a coast-to-coast tour. Their updated soldiers have been given new powers and armor to spread his wish for mending the universe. Now you, too, can find peace and healing with help from Victory.

After you get over that initial shock... then you move into the genius of it... fashioned into these gigantic totems that make the world stand up and be counted, they make us look.

This is a metaphor that says there is a solution to the world problems we have... these broken pieces can be fixed and repaired and formulated into a whole recognizable body.

That's what's so powerful about this exhibit.

DOCUMENTARY: THE MAN WHO MADE DETROIT BEAUTIFUL: APRIL 22 @ MASONIC TEMPLE

With close to 600 commissions in his job book, Parducci’s work is still almost unknown. He came to Detroit in 1924 at the urging of Albert Kahn – one of Detroit’s most prolific architects – with the intent to only stay for two months. Fortunately for Detroit, he ended up staying for the rest of his life and left his fingerprints on countless commercial buildings, private homes, churches and schools.

KIMMER'S TOP 4 ART WORKS BY ARTIST DAVID K AUSTIN BOYNE CITY MI

I ran into an artist online tonight who possesses some really gorgeous talent! I am in love with his work and the COLORS.. His work reminds me of Wonderland combined with Gothic. Deep moving color with a bit of joy and whimsy. 5 stars!!

Here are a few of my favorites of David Austin's work and I highly recommend you visit his online Etsy Gallery-Store

"Sky Blue Galaxy" Original modern abstract painting, mixed media acrylic, latex, ink on hang ready back framed .25 inch board, 17.5 x 17.5 x 2 inches. One of the galaxy series representing exploration, creative thinking and discovery.

This handmade medium blue ceramic jar can be used for storing tea, honey, spices, salt or anything you can think of! The decorative lid will look elegant in any kitchen or living room setting. Ready to bring your tableware up a notch? Add ceramic touches like this jar to any tabletop or counter top. Measures 6.25x5.25x6 inches.

Inspired by the colors of Lake Michgan waters in the fall. The spiral lid is reminiscent of the waves as they swirl on the beach.

Tuscany Hoped For, 24x30x.75inch, acrylic and latex on canvas.

This is a painting from the abstract landscape series from my travels or places I would like to go. I try to capture essence of the areas, the excitement or images I have while at the various locations. I hope you can enjoy the travels with me! Follow on Twitter or Facebook for more travel through my links at

Red teapot from the "Bird Fish" series. The 8.25x8.5x5 inch teapot can be used and asks the user to take a moment or two to pay attention to the process. It is microwave, dishwasher and food safe. It is fired to cone 5 stoneware with a porcelain type clay body. The unique teapot constructed from thrown and altered pieces in the wet stage for an improvisational approach. Measures 8.5x5x9 inches.

A CRAFTSMAN'S LEGACY PREMIERES ON PBS THIS FALL!!

http://www.craftsmanslegacy.com/

Yesterday I saw a post on my friend Jim Harper's Facebook page about a new PBS TV series beginning this Fall nationally. The show is called "A Craftsman's Legacy".  Jim has a custom made motorcycle crafted by Eric Gorges and it is incredible....We love Eric's work and now we get to travel with him across the US looking at the best craftspeople!

Each 30-minute episode will follow Eric Gorges on a quest to discover true craftsmen in today’s world. Traveling across America, Eric will be interviewing men and women that understand the importance of craftsmanship. Every episode will explain the history of an old-world craft and the importance in the building of America.

Did a bit of phone chat with the man himself Eric yesterday...We have a lot of art taste in common....Eric told me a bit about meeting some of the craftsmen and women his has profiled on his show. Eric says their skills are fantastic and now we can't wait until October to see the 13 Episodes....  Watch a clip of the new show below!
