I read THE SILVER STAR yesterday. It is about 300 pages and I read it in one night until it was finished. When it was finished I felt like I had taken a journey. all of her books take the reader on a trip.
My only complaint about Jeannette's books is that I wish they were longer!
Hopefully she'll write more books and serialize them. I grow so attached to her characters that I crave to know more about their lives...Part 2,3,4,and 5 for each of her books would make spectacular books, television mini series, or films...4 STARS
It is 1970 in a small town in California. “Bean” Holladay is twelve and her sister, Liz, is fifteen when their artistic mother, Charlotte, takes off to find herself, leaving her girls enough money to last a month or two.
When Bean returns from school one day and sees a police car outside the house, she and Liz decide to take the bus to Virginia, where their widowed Uncle Tinsley lives in the decaying mansion that’s been in Charlotte’s family for generations.
I just loved all three of her books and here they are if you'd like to purchase them from my Amazon store....
