Part of the former Budd Wheel complex in Detroit, which is very close to Chrysler’s Mack Avenue and Jefferson North plants, is slated to be demolished this morning (June 24). The former owner of Liberty Motors was a proud naturalized American and he built a copy of the Independence Hall out front. That was demolished the first of this year.
Today they are demolishing the 3 story old part which still has Connor Creek running underneath the building. Rumor has it that Chrysler will be building a plant on this site.
