How did having Tourette syndrome and meeting a member of The Violent Femmes lead Billboard Top 40 pop artist Harper Starling to the path of music (Not to mention she almost became a physical therapist instead)?
Los Angeles-based Harper will be at #36 later this week, and climbing, on the Billboard Dance Club Songs Chart with “Euphoria”, produced/remixed by The Perry Twins (Rihanna, Beyonce, Troye Sivan), with additional remixes by Dirty Werk (Kesha, Dave Aude) and Dan Thomas (Moby, Ralphi Rosario):
· The healing power of music: Tourette syndrome manifested when she was eight and, after intense bullying in school that left her withdrawn (Someone once broke her nose after throwing a chair at her), she took up singing at 12 to help her cope, both physically and emotionally.
