Hello there ! Boy, the things one finds on the trail to other knowledge ! Sometimes I just meander around on the net and look up unusual stuff. Today that happened to be Harry Bennett of Ford Motor Company fame. I enjoyed reading the article/letters you had from his grandson. I would have to agree that no one is ever entirely bad. While most that you can read about him paints with a wide brush, I have a slightly different perspective. He and my grandfather were friends, and I have picture of him playing baseball with our two families on Harsens Island from circa 1938. The picture clearly shows Harry and daughters, along with my grandfather and grandmother, and also a Christmas card from him. I never knew my grandfather as he died in 1947, and I was not born until 1951. But we still heard the stories of Bennett's Castle in Ypsilanti where I grew up. Sorry for the totally aimless direction here.... I just wanted to let you know I enjoyed your work. Kindest regards, J
