The meteoric rise of Kansas City Alt Rock group Alice Sweet Alice (ASA) continues as Harrah’s VooDoo lounge approached the band to headline on their legendary stage this September 5th, 2014. The last appearance by Alice Sweet Alice at Harrah’s Voodoo was to share the stage with 90’s hitmakers “Collective Soul”, when both bands played to an enthusiastic, packed house of over 1300 fans.

Tickets will be given away on major market radio stations in the Kansas City area, but will be $10 for everyone else at this 21+ show.

Alice Sweet Alice front man, Scott Martinez states, “ASA loves playing at Harrah’s VooDoo Lounge because that stage allows us to present our group and sound in a way that truly encapsulates what we’re trying to convey as musicians and artists. Being asked to play with Collective Soul was a real honor, especially finding out that the entire band was rocking out backstage while watching ASA during our set.” Martinez, states further: “we think the secret to our appeal is the fact that most people that like 70’s to 90’s –era rock – arguably some of the most popular rock music to date – really like the music that Alice Sweet Alice creates. Part of that reason is that ASA members grew up in and performed in that same era, and the music we create is based on a lot of the influences shared by those same bands.”

ASA will be performing a list of favorite songs, but will be debuting 3 brand new songs to the Kansas City pubic. After this show, Alice Sweet Alice will travel to Michigan to co-headline a festival with sister band Dead By Monday, who just finished their newest album recorded in Chicago with Steve Albini. September 5th will be one of ASA’s final live appearances before the band dives headfirst into recording new material and shooting videos for release in 2015.
