"I thought the show was awesome!!! Not bad for these sixty something dudes. "
"Same ones that like Van Morrison and all the other great artists of our time. It's cool you get to hang with some of them. They don't get it yet Kimmer give em time they will.Happy Birthday Love you much..........Phil"
"Pete looked like he was having a blast. Good for him. I thought they were great."
"Led Zeppelin would be better than the game itself, even in MY team was in there!"
So here's the thing: I dig The Who, but ever since Janet flashed her boob, the entertainment has been OLD!!! I am not advocating a return to Up With People but it's 2010, not 1975. Just sayin'.
Love the Who no matter how old, they still got it and always will. The ones complaining don't know good music!
I'm a big fan and I'm listening to the Superbowl show for the first time right now...that laughable drummer isn't even trying to make up for any of Keith's spectacular fills. Daltry ain't what he used to be, but neither are most old guys who used to wail in their youth (i.e.: Robert Plant). Townshend didn't sound great singing, but I heard a familiar frog in the throat thing going on with him that I won't blame him for.None of this takes anything away from the fact that we just watched music legends dust off their hits for our entertainment. My technical criticisms aside, I loved it.
Pete, the only guy who could keep up with Keith was John Bonham. That ain't fair, man!
