Very successful fabulous soul singer Chuck Jackson was the original singer for One of my favorite hits by Scott Morgan and The Ratio9nals. I like them both, but am partial to Scott and The Rationals harmonies vs Chuck with the girl backup singers. What do you think?

"OK, I'm a friend of Scotts, hard to be impartial, but I gave it a spin, and.... Morgan & the Rationals SMOKED it!"
My story is that Scott told me they were playing and so I made sure I brought my LP to get signed! It was great. This was the first show if I am not mistaken. Pretty sure his folks were there too no?
I know I was very excited because they were one of my favorite Detroit 60's rock bands. I had all their records. I drove to Ann Arbor just to see them. And I also kept in mind that this may be the only time they would re-unite. I think they played in Dearborn shortly afterwards. Some blues bar on Greenfield near Michigan Ave. Maybe Ford Rd. I remember I really loved that Ann Arbor show. It was packed to the gills !!!
They did an unannounced show at Alvin's in Detroit on a week night before the Heidelburg. They only had 4 songs they'd practiced. I was there with maybe a dozen others. Was at that Ann Arbor show too. The blues bar was Sully's, I don't think they played there, it was my neighborhood club. They played a benefit show at the State Theatre for Rob Tyner when he passed away. Recordings of that are on Scott's "Medium Rare" CD.
Correct, Sully's. Yes they did play there, I went to go see them. A month or two after the Heidelberg.
The State Theatre show also had a horn section and a hammond b3 organ
