KATIE GRACE NOMINATED FOR A 2013 DETROIT MUSIC AWARD!

The lovely Katie Grace is nominated for a DMA this year and we are so excited for her! She is so good...I had the pleasure of meeting her then seeing her band open for SRC last summer and she blew the audience away. Joe Ruffner bought me her cd and I love it. You can purchase one here:

Singer-songwriter Katie Grace was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. A model Catholic school girl by day, she turned bad girl at night, playing alt-country and bluegrass music in every local dive bar in the Motor City.

She honed her skill as the bassist in some of Detroit’s finest alt-country bands; Doop and the Inside Outlaws and Shotgun Wedding, and wielded a stand-up bass in the traditional roots music quartet The Salt Miners and the all-female bluegrass ensemble, Syreens. As an integral part of these bands, she traveled to Austin, Texas for a showcase at the SXSW Music Festival and a string of shows in New York City and the Eastcoast.
