Disneyland's popular Space Mountain roller coaster and another Disney ride have been temporarily closed after the company received citations from state regulators last week that prompted a review of its safety protocols, a company spokeswoman said today.
After receiving the citations on Friday, park officials decided to shut down the Matterhorn Bobsleds ride, Space Mountain and Soarin' Over California, a simulated hang glider flight at Disney California Adventure. The Matterhorn reopened Sunday. It is unclear how long the other two rides will remain closed. The company said the closures were voluntary.
