EVANGELINE DAHLINGER LEXINGTON MICHIGAN ESTATE FOR SALE

This Lake Huron estate was given to Ray & Evangeline Dahlinger by Henry Ford in the early 1920s. Evangeline of course the rumored mistress of Henry lived on the Dahlinger Farm next to The Ford Estate in Dearborn .

Henry Ford loved to lavish gifts to Evangeline his children, friends and employees.

Craftsmen from Greenfield Village built the windmill, which is topped by a propeller from a Ford Tri-motor. It's rumored Charles Lindbergh stayed in this windmill on a couple occasions. Based on the photos it appears the main house has had little alteration over the years.John Dahlinger wrote about this property in his autobiography "The Secret Life of Henry Ford"

This 2 home estate has been up for sale for years. It's located at 4951 Lakeshore in Lexington, MI. Real Estate Listing and contact information is HERE

The listing looks like it is for the main house..Not sure if they sold off the smaller second home. The Lake frontage used to be 585' now it is listed as 440" The owner that is listed as J. Simon and previous owners The Dahlinger Family.

John C. Dahlinger inherited this estate from his parents.

The exteriors are beautiful but the interiors are very dated in appearance and plain. It would take quite a bit of money to update the furnishings I would think...
