Gavin DeGraw has been released from the hospital, following a violent attack on the singer in the early hours of Monday morning in New York City. DeGraw tweeted on Tuesday, "Hi my friends. Honestly, I don't remember much. I only know I can recover from here. I only know I can recover from here. Thank u for your genuine concern. I love u guys."
As reported yesterday, DeGraw suffered a concussion, a broken nose, black eyes, cuts and bruises, after being attacked early Monday morning on the street, just blocks from a bar he co-owns with his brother Joey. DeGraw later stumbled into the street, where he was reportedly hit by a cab.
Joey DeGraw told the New York Post that his brother was not drunk at the time of the incident and "had nothing but cranberry juice to drink" that night.
DeGraw has cancelled the rest of his concerts and appearances through at least this weekend. He has been on tour opening for Maroon 5 and Train, and will release a new album, Sweeter, on September 20.
