Jackie Collins has died after a 6 year battle with breast cancer. Ms Collins chose to keep her illness very private, just her daughters knew. Even Joan Collins her actress sister was shocked when Jackie visited with Joan just 2 weeks ago and let her know.

The novelist had kept to herself the fact that she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer six-and-a-half years ago and had told her older actress sister that she was terminally ill only two weeks ago.

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the death of our beautiful, dynamic and one of a kind mother, Jackie Collins, who died of breast cancer September 19, 2015.
She lived a wonderfully full life and was adored by her family, friends and the millions of readers who she has been entertaining for over four decades. She was a true inspiration, a trail blazer for women in fiction and a creative force. She will live on through her characters but we already miss her beyond words.
