MICHIGAN THEATER PRESENTS: SPIELBERG FILM SERIES MAN AND MONSTERS!

The Michigan Theater is proud to present a three-month film series entitled Steven Spielberg: Man and Monsters, starting September 14 running through November 28. The retrospective features 18 films that reflect the master storyteller’s exploration of humanity contending with the monster within and the monsters of the unknown.

Spielberg remains one of the most prolific and admired filmmakers of contemporary cinema, whose rich filmography spans a portfolio of iconic dramatic pieces, rousing adventures, suspense thrillers and family-friendly comedies.

The series focuses on Spielberg’s poignant studies of human character such as his acclaimed adaptation of Alice Walker’s novel “The Color Purple,” classic creatures like the lovable protagonist of “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial,” or Feivel of “An American Tail,” and iconic monsters such as the frightening dagger-toothed antagonist of “Jaws.”

The series is generously sponsored by Ann Arbor’s Money Source Financial Services. Regular ticket prices apply and tickets can be purchased online at michtheater.org or at the box office.
