***UPDATE** WOODTV8: POLICE HAVE 2 PERSONS OF INTEREST IN DAHLINGER MURDER


GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Grand Rapids police are speaking to two persons of interest in connection with the murder of John C Dahlinger Jr. Lt. Pat Merrill told 24 Hour News 8 that while they are talking to the two people, no one is in custody in the death of Dahlinger. Dahlinger, 56, was found unresponsive at the home he shared with his girlfriend on Kreslin Drive NE on the night of Oct. 16. Emergency responders were unable to revive him. The Kent County medical examiner later determined that Dahlinger had a bullet wound in the side of his head which could have lead to his death. A RK reader wrote in and said that finally found the bullet lodged in a dresser.

Police had this crime classified as a gun crime from the beginning...information on the blunt force inflicted on this victim has not been released.
