October 25th I will be present to read my father's name when the Traveling Vietnam Wall visits Dearborn, Michigan.  I would like to invite my readers and friends to come visit that day after 10:00 am.  It is an incredible honor for me and I would love you all to see this amazing tribute to our Vietnam casualties and veterans...RK

It is at Ford World Headquarters, 1 The American Road, Dearborn, MI.  Ford WHQ is located at the Michigan Ave. (US12) and Southfield Freeway (M39)

The Vietnam Wall comes to Dearborn, MI - October 2012

The Wall That Heals, a half-size replica of the Vietnam Wall, will be coming to Dearborn on October 25-28, 2012. Over the course of the weekend, we will be reading the names of the men and woman from Michigan who gave their lives during the Vietnam War.

We are seeking volunteers to read names. Because you have left a memorial for a Michigan soldier on a Vietnam Memorial website we would like to cordially invite you to take part in this moving event.

We would be honored to have you read the name of your lost soldier on any of these days. Additionally, we are having a ceremonial laying of wreaths and flowers during the Opening Ceremony on October 25. If you would like, we would gladly place something at The Wall at your request.

DEARBORN — The Wall That Heals, the traveling half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., is coming to Dearborn Oct. 25 - 29 for around the clock public viewing.

For 30 years, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. has been an iconic image of the Vietnam War, serving as a revered space to remember, honor and heal. It is known to many as simply "The Wall."

For those who aren't able to make the journey to Washington, D.C., one way to honor the fallen is to visit The Wall That Heals in a local community like Dearborn.

That experience can be made more meaningful through volunteering or donating in support of The Wall that Heals.
