ITALIAN COURTS FIND AMANDA KNOX GUILTY AGAIN

American former student Amanda Knox and her former boyfriend were today again found guilty in Italy in the 2007 slaying of her British roommate.

It was the third verdict in the case for Knox, 26, and Raffaele Sollecito, 29, who in 2009 were convicted of killing Meredith Kercher. The conviction was overturned two years later on appeal, only to have that decision later overruled. She vows never to return to Italy to serve time unless she goes kicking and screaming...

Judge Alessandro Nencini sentenced Knox, who was not present at the trial, to 28 1/2 years in prison and Sollecito to 25 years.

This makes no sense..first she is guilty, then acquitted, then found guilty again?  Amanda Knox was released and returned to Seattle, WA in 2011.  The Italian Government tried her again in absentia? I guess the battle continues for the Knox family.  Odds are in her favor that the US will not send her back to prison.  Lawyers could keep this issue tied up in court for years...

The last story I read about her was she had been acquitted...
