Detroit’s hottest new record label, Funky D Records, whose artists dominated the 2012 Detroit Music Awards, are putting out a limited edition vinyl LP of punk rock sweethearts and stars of the Ovation Network reality series...

Produced the by multiple award-winning Tino Gross (RL Burnside, Nathaniel Mayer, Kid Rock, Uncle Kracker, Howling Diablos,and more) who is also featured in the Ovation Networks’ show, both on-camera and musically, this record is reminiscent of the early days of Detroit punk energy, like The Stooges and the MC5. Recorded at Funky D Studios, this is a much anticipated release by the multitude of zealous fans on all counts.

A big release BASH is planned for Saturday, September 15th at PJ’s Lager House in Detroit. Line-up for this HOT, HOT show is The Ruiners, Gorevette(feat. Amy Gore & Nikki Corvette)and newcomers Awesome Jarvis & The Whales, who also have an upcoming release on the label.

Also on the show is Detroit’s Emcee Linda Lexy and special appearance by rock & roll cheerleaders & good will ambassadors, The Motor City Rah Rahs!
