OLYMPICS CLOSING ACTS SO FAR...
The reunited Spice Girls, Jessie J, Annie Lennox and Tinie Tempah are among the latest British acts that are tipped to perform at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics on Sunday night. British tabloid The Sun had a photographer taking pictures of artists arriving and leaving from the event's rehearsal space, and he snapped those acts as well as Queen's Brian May, Pet Shop Boys and George Michael. Muse has already confirmed that they will be playing the closing ceremony after their song, "Survival," became the official track for the Olympics.
Pink Floyd is definitely out...
The Spice Girls are getting what they really, really want — to perform at the Olympics.
Posh, Ginger, Baby, Sporty and Scary — proud Brits all — will be busting a gold medal move at the closing ceremony Sunday of what has turned out to be one of the most successful Olympics ever.
And don’t be surprised if Geri Halliwell, aka Ginger, breaks out the Union Jack mini-dress she made famous.
“We literally flew the flag — and Geri even wore it — around the globe,” Melanie Chisholm, aka Sporty and sometimes Mel C., said in an interview earlier.
Word leaked out that the comely quintet had gotten back together after they were spotted working on their act at a rehearsal space located in a Ford plant in East London.
